You can ONLY be basing that on draft position. Romo clearly outkicked him all preseason. You go with what a player can DO, not with what you imagined once upon a time he could do.
I kinda wanna take the points, but at the same time, they're torching the Raiders in time of possession already. Getting the 1st down lets them take it all the way to the half and end up with a 2-to-1 time of possession ration. The Raiders would end up super gassed by the start of the 4th quarter having already played basically an entire game's worth of snaps, and nobody's that well conditioned in week 1.
He should have trusted his EYES during preseason and gone with the other guy. Teams fall in love with the draft picks and kick themselves in the ass far too often.
