2025 Mock Draft FAIL thread

If the mock is done by a Jets fan … automatically won’t be based in reality
I know Mocks are supposed to be realistic.

A Ersery will not be available in the Third... Second Round the latest.
Maybe. But that's Pfft, which is always really good.

Ersery's tape shows him unable to get deep enough on outside edge rushers. He's always really exposed. Excellent in the run game, and big and strong, but a pretty stiff guy.

According to Patriots.com they think so

Isaiah Bond in the Fourth Round an Identical player to Matthew Golden who might go in the First. Tell them I said keep dreaming.

If Ersery is still available at 69 (nice) I will light myself on fire on live cam.

He nearly fell in our experiment but that's not surprising to me since nobody enjoys selecting OL lol

So I think this is the worst mock ever. No, seriously.

Jaxson Dart makes it into the top 3 and despite both Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter both being on the board for the Pats, has us taking Will Campbell. I like Will Campbell - as a guard - but we would become the laughing stock of the NFL if we were to pass on Carter and Hunter for someone who is such a risk at LT.

The other point of interest in the realm of reality though is seeing the Saints select Shemar Stewart. I saw another mock fail where they had the Saints trading all the way up 1 overall just to land him.

Alex Barth has a new mock out and it's far from a fail - in fact it's really good - aside from one pick.

4 - Travis Hunter
28 - Josh Conerly (gives up our 4th + 2026 4th to trade up)
69 - Kyle Kennard
77 - Wyatt Milum
151 Billy Bowman
189 LeQuint Allen
220 Nazir Stackhouse
238 Drew Kendall

There was a trade with the Colts for those later round picks.

There is only one pick I don't like and that's Billy Bowman. He's a good player in highlight reels but I knew his issue is missed tackles so I had a look at his record to see how many missed tackles he has and ....oh brother!

By Year

2021 - 2 (limited reps)
2022 - 21
2023 - 22
2024 - 15

That's 60 total missed tackles!

Compare that to Andrew Mukuba for example, another safety criticised for missing tackles. In the same period, he had 32.

This was posted this morning, so it doesn't include the Milton trade. But I'm dinging this for the 2nd round in particular.

4. Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State (6-3, 250 pounds)

38. Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon (6-3, 310 pounds)
The Patriots can stick with their early defensive theme in the draft with Harmon. giving free-agent addition Milton Williams some help over the disappointing Christian Barmore.

65. Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College (6-8, 316 pounds)
77. Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami (5-10, 209 pounds)
106. Lathan Ransom, S, Ohio State (6-1, 210 pounds)
144. Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame (6-5, 258 pounds)
217. Tajh Brooks, RB, Texas Tech (5-9, 214 pounds)
220. Jaylin Smith, CB, USC (5-10, 187 pounds)
238. KeAndre Lambert-Smith, WR, Auburn (6-1, 190 pounds)

I like Harmon but calling Barmore "disappointing" is ridiculous.

I am . . . whelmed by this one from Mark Daniels.

4. Armand Membou, Missouri, OT, 6-4, 332 pounds
38. Donovan Jackson, Ohio State, OG, 6-4, 315 pounds
69. Dylan Sampson, Tennessee, RB, 5-8, 200 pounds
77. Jalen Royals, Utah State, WR, 6-0, 205 pounds
106. J.J. Pegues, Ole Miss, DT, 6-2, 309 pounds
144. Jack Kiser, Notre Dame, LB, 6-2, 231 pounds
171. Upton Stout, Western Kentucky, CB, 5-8, 181 pounds
220. Andres Borregales, Miami, PK, 5-11, 199 pounds
238. Drew Kendall, Boston College, C, 6-4, 308 pounds

I'd make a couple of changes, but that's very good. Even the two picks I'd probably change (Kiser and Stout) are really good prospects that I wouldn't object to at all.

I hate the idea of Membou at 4, personally. If Campbell isn't a good pick at 4 because of size concerns despite proven production at the position, I don't get how Membou is a good pick at 4 when he's never played RT.
