2025 / 2026 College watch thread

Ponds v Smith has been a great battle.

This game really has lived up to the hype.

Feel bad for that OSU kicker. . . .

ETA: Now imagining Charlie Becker catching passes from Drake Maye. . . .

Indiana is so tough and so well coached. Nice to see someone not back down from Ohio St. and punch them in the mouth.

Ohio St. more talented, but not used to not being able to bully their way.

As I said.

Bully getting shut out in the 2nd half.

Mendoza has that "clutch gene". Looks ragged at times, but plays best when it counts most.

Curt Cignetti is such a great coach in terms of getting the best out of his players. most of his team came with him from relatively lowly James Madison and here they are as Big-10 champios and presumtive favourites for the Nat Champs

I think they get a bye as well. Texas A&M #5.

It would have been good if that Ohio kicker had tied the game so we could have seen Mendoza driving for the win.

Mendoza is the real deal.

Don't look now but Virginia just went 96yards in under two minutes to get a game tying TD with 22 seconds to go against Duke.

I used that exact phrase back on Sept 20.

Mendoza has been underrated, IMO. He is not Drake Maye, but he is darn good, and he plays best with the game on the line. He also comes back from adversity.

Mendoza kinda reminds me of Maye.

Super accurate and calm under pressure. Looks like kid and is mild mannered.

There's letting them play and then then there's this

The Indy defense stepped up big tonight too. Keeping Ohio to 10 points is no small feat.

The Ohio QB is sub par IMO

duke win in overtime. I think that means James Madison, Cignetti's old team, are also in the playoffs.
