2025 / 2026 College watch thread

Mendoza is in danger of Ty Simpson-ing this game. Also it looks like Omar Cooper Jr might be out for the game.

Love some big play from the Ds.... I know football just wants offensive plays to score every drive. I am now hearing a lot of talk about explosive offensive plays. But not nearly enough about Explosive defensive plays. They absolutely destroy teams.

10+ yard sacks. Fumbles. Interception. Big time tackles behind the line (for over 5 yards). These things are absolutely back breaking. Turnovers and drive ending plays take points off the board more than a 20 yard chunk play puts points on usually.

Sonny Styles has been all over this game so far.

Indiana is so tough and so well coached. Nice to see someone not back down from Ohio St. and punch them in the mouth.

Ohio St. more talented, but not used to not being able to bully their way.

Not game related... does anyone else absolutely hate the Ohio State Helmets? I just don't like the design at all.. Unique isn't automatically good. Also... nice hold by Indiana. Don't want to fall too far behind Ohio State.

Edit: It reminds me of Office Space.... and having to wear all that god damn flair.

Alabama have the best helmets. I won't hear arguments on this issue. Agreed on Ohio State's.

Mendoza on a different class from Simpson, hanging in.

Cooper a great player, huge loss for IU.

You know your QB is seeing ghost when he sacks himself.

Mendoza's start was a little iffy but he's getting better. A bit premature from me there.

Mendoza seems fairly tough to me. He will go through shaky patches, but seems to toughen up and make plays in the clutch.

Indiana D has given Sayin some problems, too.

2 best teams in the country.

Two sacks each from Caden Curry for Ohio and Isiah jones for Indiana.

Indiana really hanging in there.

Any given day, but Indiana and Ohio St. are still the 2 best.

I'm not convinced. I think Georgia have had a tougher schedule and have been lights out in the last month or so. Three very good teams. I've been impressed by Georgia.

The Indiana DL have come to play.

We'll see.

Ohio St., IU, Georgia and Texas Tech should be the top 4.

If this Big 10 referee was the referee in Super Bowl 42, we'd have gone 19-0.

Indiana WR Charlie Becker has been a bit of a revelation at the end of this season. One to watch next year.

Sarratt is so good.
