Not at all worried about Maye. Its year 1. He learns every game.
Great potential but he will not be a top 10 qb until year 3 at earliest

I don't want to overreact just yet but an alarming picture is starting to emerge with Maye and his nack for poor decision making and plays when trying to come back.

This needs to get addressed ASAP.
You get him a true #1 WR and a solid OL and those problems will take care of themselves.

Drake is a rookie QB who is forced by lousy teammates and lousy coaching to overreach on nearly every play. He will be fine. I am glad we have him. Until the Krafts have the courage to admit that they blew the ENTIRE hiring process and clean house, starting with the HC and the GM, this will not change.

It will not change.

Mayes turnovers are the last thing you should be concerned with. That and Gonzalez in man to man should be the last of our concerns and Schooler on special teams.
We have those three things going for us.

Doesn't help if the GM doesn't know how to draft and build a team.

I do think this is a situation where you give the GM one more go at it. However, he hasn't given us much at all beyond picking Maye (which, duh) and shipping off Judon at the right time. Unfortunately, that makes it much harder for him. Had he nailed this season, he'd have a lot more leeway for some misses next year.

Many of us thought that with Maye making the OL look better-ish we could go King Tet, but with so many holes the draft is wide open.

We need everything but QB.

Will Johnson
Tet
Banks or Campbell
Abdul Carter
Mason Graham
Trade down
its all in play and I have no idea what would improve this team the most. This FA needs to be nailed, we have so many players needed to be upgraded that they could get an insane amount of starters and a star or 2.

I’d clean house for a true football pro and let him pick the GM or HC depending on who it is you decide to turn it over to.

If you're doing that, then hire a new HC and let him build his staff. Mayo is the root of the problem.
I think AVP is helping Maye with the fundamentals really well and I’m not opposed to letting him continue to do so.

However having Johnson or McDaniels taking over the play calling is ideal.

Frustrating loss ... discuss
The 2024 patriots are who they show us they are each week. Nothing about today should be surprising. They are a 32nd ranked roster with a terrible OL, terrible defense, and poorly coached. Even the Panthers hung with the defending champs down to the wire. We are the worst team in the league and it's not even close!
