One team spent a decent sum of money to try to get good now and also played their rookie QB right away... the other sat on most of their cash and is keeping their rookie QB in hiding... the results are fairly predictable

The difference between the Commanders & Patriots who were identically bad with similar issues last year and how they've started their rebuild/new era is enlightening.
Kinda different issues. Patriots had a decent defense and horrific offense. Commanders had the reverse. In an offensively driven league, when you add a big playmaker and the offense is good, you can always go drive for drive even with a bad defense. We get games like this which are slogs

The quarterbacking in this game is so bad Sanchez could come down from the booth in his suit and go into the game and neither of these teams would suffer a visible downgrade.
