2024 NFL Draft Thread (Continued..)

His release point is nearly shoulder high. That’s going to be a problem in the NFL.
Yeah, maybe that along with his medicals. Folks are worried about Daniels getting killed, which is fair. However, this is the guy that people should be more concerned with regarding his durability. He’s had like 5-6 season ending injuries before throwing an NFL pass.

We should just draft good players only like how the good teams do that

Why does winning anything next season matter. It’s not going to get them a Lombardi?. What matters is laying the foundation for their long term success, and getting the QB at the top of the draft is what matters most. But if you would rather just be mediocre for years to come you are welcome to that. Maybe they can get Mason Rudolph from the Steelers? That would be awesome.
The foundation is built of many positions. This QB class is massively overrated. It’s 2021 all over again though I’m sure the NFL is praying it’s 2004 because average QB play is ass even with all the rule changes.

Then he's almost a carbon copy physically of A.J. Brown (although it's expected that he could run as fast as a 4.0 to 4.40 40 if not faster, where Brown ran a 4.5 something).

Getting the right QB matters, not a QB; I have very little hope in Daniels, I hope he blows away the combine and Washington drafts him.
Which, the best case scenario would have Drake Maye there at #3. If so, that would be very nice.

According to who? Because I’m hearing really good things about the top 3.

There isn’t much money to be made in sports journalism by being a downer.

I agree.

As history has shown with the highly drafted QBs, wanting, and getting, are two different things.

The #3 pick does not guarantee a franchise QB.

Far from it.

But it SHOULD guarantee a franchise player, if you let the draft come to you and don’t force it.

A report mentioned that Denver wanted to trade up for Williams.

What could we get from Denver to let them draft a QB at #3?

There’s no such thing as a guarantee for anything, so I guess they just shouldn’t pick at all, because there no guarantee, and why pay a guy who isn’t a guarantee?

And you don’t have to force anything, because there are 3 really good QB prospects, and they are GUARANTEED to get one of them.

What all of this really boils down to is that there are some people here who simply have a boner for Marvin Harrison Jr., and because they can’t come up with any legitimate reasons to pass on any of the 3 QB’s they start to play the “ he’s not guaranteed to succeed” game. Which, if true, means you should just trade every pick for veteran players, because no rookie is ever guaranteed to succeed.
