In fairness, you aren’t making a Hail Mary from that distance with Josh Allen throwing to Stephon Diggs. When you have Mac Jones with only Reagor and Thornton as his speed guys to get down field, you have a far better chance scoring with a quick screen to Douglas.
What I don’t get is with the o-line in shambles to O’Brien isn’t calling for more quick passes. The passing play of the game was arguably the quick pass to Geisecki up the seam.
Beyond the 30 yard tack on, that’s why passer rating is stupid as it doesn’t account for sack yards. In fact it double penalizes a QB for throwing the ball away with zeroed for both completion pct and yards/att while the guy who loses yards in the sack has no net passer rating movement. That’s why I like other stats like Adjusted Net Yards/Attempt.
