Yeah I'm surprised that Notso was voted a captain ahead of Lawrence Guy; and JaWrong ahead of Matt Judon... Production be dammed amirite?

Judon should've been a captain given his contract status and importance to the D. Wise and Bentley are funny choices, but Bill has to appoint somebody. Man... what a terrible roster on D.

They're voted on, not appointed. But even if you think Bill puts a thumb on the scale, the captains (other than QB) have rarely just been the most talented players on the team. David Andrews isn't usually their best OL. Devin McCourty is 50/50 on whether he's their best DB, depending on the year. James White was a captain last year, but would have probably been 2nd or maybe even 3rd in total offensive snaps. It's about leadership and respect in the locker room. I think Judon is definitely well liked there, but so was Julian Edelman and he was never a captain.

You wouldn't make a Terrell Owens a team captain because he puts up sick numbers, for example

With Hightower not there, I don't think Bentley is a surprise. Wise you can make a case for, I would have thought Judon, but shows the respect that WIse has with the team. Good list though.
