2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

its a roller coaster ride of emotions. they win and it's here comes the cup. they lose and its dark times and captain stone starts posting again about how they suck they suck they suck.
Stone was due.

Not looking good with Chara hurt. He can't wear that NASA helmet and play hockey.

I don’t think he’ll wear it if it impedes his vision or affects his play. He’s pretty tough, so I expect him out there on Thursday.

These teams are pretty even. Not much seperates them. It's 2-2. Best of 3. 2 home games. That said, this team is getting killed 5 on 5. And yes, the Blues were faking penalties last night. But let's not act like the B's don't do the same at times.

B) The league is a joke. Potentially (If it goes 7) four two day breaks between games. That's simply unacceptable. And it's tough to draw in casual fans that way. There's no excuse for it.

C) The Bruins losing this series (Potentially) would hurt more than the Pats loss to the Eagles. It would hurt more than any recent Celtics losses. Especially considering the road was wide open for the B's to take the cup. The odds of top seeds getting eliminated in round one again are slim. Losing (Potentially) would be a gut punch to all New Englanders.

If it goes 7 the Blues are going to win the Stanley.

I don't like it anymore than you men. The fact that they keep coming back is crazy. Something flooky will happen if it goes 7 and it won't go the Bruins way.

Pffftttt we aren’t losing game 7 at home.

I've come to truly hate this Blues team. Thuggish, sticks and hands high on every hit, running between the numbers from behind constantly, and whining and faking like soccer players at the slightest contact.

Their coach was a punk, and here he is, complaining about the refs...

Really dislike this team, and not because they're playing the Bruins. When the Bruins lost to Chicago a few years ago, I nodded and thought the better team won. This Blues team is just ugly.

Berube learned his tactics from classless idiots like Jim Schoenfeld and Dale Hunter.

Hopefully not but the Blues already took 2 more games than I expected them to win.
I said Bs in 6 games and nothing has changed my mind.

This always seemed to be a "CBJ series redux" from my seat. A team who punches up in terms of talent, with some size, that would have to sustain.

CBJ couldn't. We will see about STL.

Do you guys need me to call it a season on the team? Seemed to work for the Pats.

If folks watched the STL/SJ series they wore down SJ and plus they lost key players during the series. Bruins seemed apprehensive in the 3rd period last night. Hopefully Gryz returns if hes 100% ok (which I doubt he will be). Worst case Chara has a broken jaw but my belief is he lost some chiclets and the jaw is ok. If the hits and injuries are adding up, Bs are obviously in a bad spot.

Game 5 will tells us how the rest of the series will go.

The Bruins once again last night got away from what has worked for them. Get the puck on net, fill the center and put the rebounds in the net. This wasn't like game two where they stopped skating at least, although STL dominated after they went ahead.

This Blues team is becoming as unlikeable at the Canucks were in 11. I agree that the Chicago series in 13 even though we lost you left the series feeling respect for them. The Blues like the Canucks feel they shouldn't get the call for anything but they practice the Montreal dive tactics continuously and when it's called on them them ***** and moan. I really wanted somebody like Backus to level one of the Blues after they got the open netter.

While a bunch of different players flashed for the Bruins in this game the only player I felt was consistently good, other than Rask, was Krug. I was in the camp that he was a defensive liability who could move the puck and was decent on the power play. The entire playoffs he's really turned into a top defender.

I agree. They played similarly for 2/3 of the game that they played in game 2.

If Z can go in game 5 (and potentially Gryz) I like the Bs chances when they are fully staffed.

Clifton has been exposed and the Blues have made their hay in this series when the Bs are playing a man short due to injury.

Bruins when they have had 12 Forwards and 6 Defensemen available

Game 1 - 4-2
Game 2 (until 2 mins left in first) - 2-2, outscored 0-1 after Gryz was hurt
Game 3 - 7-2
Game 4 (until 17 Mins left in the 2nd) - 1-2 - outscored 1-2 after Z got hurt.

So when the Bs have been fully staffed in game, they are out scoring the Blues 14 - 8

When the Bs aren't at full staff, they are being outscored 3-1
