2017 Training Camp - Day 5 (8/1/17)

I am hesitant to mention any Talib comparison. Talib is one of the best in the NFL. Also as someone mentioned last year was his 3rd and now he is going into his 4th. He will likely improve very little if at all at this point.

Edit: Just to be clear if he doesn't improve or improves very slightly I would be happy as long as he doesn't go backwards. He played very solid football last year when asked to do things he could. We must except not every player will be a super star. Having good starters like Rowe is important even if all he is is a good starter.

I agree that Talib comparisons are very premature. However, there's no reason to believe we've seen Rowe's ceiling. CBs seem to (in my anecdotal experience) peak in their late 20s. Talib arguably didn't peak until Denver, after all.

Guy has been getting a lot of praise in camp so far. He seems to have been a really good signing so far. Looking forward to seeing him in-game. I'll take a guy who can generate pressure in the interior any day.

Shaping up to be potentially the biggest surprise. Hicks was a relative nobody before we turned him into one of the best interior DL pass rushers in nfl.

NextGen Stats: Ravens Lawrence Guy was one of the best interior pass rushers in the NFL last season

It'd be a plus turning a Ravens player into a breakout player for us

RBs still trying to pick some things up on pass blocking or routes. They will get there no doubt. Both new backs Gillislee and Burkhead having some early issues.

Apparently Gilmore made a play in the endzone...incomplete pass. That's what started the bruhaha.

Love how fiery Edelman is. As long as the fighting is left on the practice field. Don't want to see him ejected from games. Like that Gilmore showed he can be fiery too. Seems like a laid back dude.
