Mark Daniels and Doug Kyed both saying Jones looks like CB5,

@MarkDanielsPJ
Jonathan Jones has been a nice surprise. Looks like he's ahead of Roberts, Biggers, etc. for that fifth CB spot. Still hasn't lost a 1v1

Surprised Roberts has done much to stand out but 3 UDFA CB surprises in a row would be nice.

Ryan getting pushed by Coleman for the CB2 job as well?

Love that my boy is doing what i thought he would. However Roberts and a few other guys are pretty good too. It would be a shame to let any go especially Roberts. I say keep 6. Good CBs are too hard to find to risk losing them.

I say trade Ryan at a high value now keep Roberts obviously both Jones.
Sneak our other dbs on the practice squad or dreaded foxboro flu for next season.

It has been discussed. How confident are you in Coleman as the #2 though?

I like Coleman, both Jones and Roberts but they are 4 very young players without much experience. It be a gamble. I am not saying we shouldn't do it but it adds a question mark to a team without many. I think by the end of the year we'd be okay but if the first 4 games don't go well we want smooth sailing and a well oiled machine.

Hasn't Dobson "arrived" during TC every year he's been in the NFL? I'm not saying he's definitely going to be cut, but he's never seen competition like this for WR roster spots.
He got some very good reviews last year. I think he might've been able to do some good things if he stayed healthy (particularly considering how riddled we became with injuries later in the year) but alas...

Cyrus Jones is Logan Ryan clone, so trade is option, but are they prepared if Malcolm gets hurt with so many rookies?

Keep Logan Ryan. Why not keep our secondary loaded? We have seen just these past two seasons how major a difference it had made to have a reliable unit back there. Logan Ryan helps with that. He brings the most experience of any of our CBs.

Big IF...

JG gets at least two wins & Brady/Gronk/Bennett/Edelman stay healthy we should be odds on favorites to win it all. Really the only thing that I see getting in our way is a critical injury to one of those four or our OLine ****ting the bed again.

how can you say he's logan ryan already? everything i've read so far bout him is he has a better skillset than ryan - let him play a full season.

Injuries are the great equalizer and deciding factor i would never entertain trading him til the final cutdown health and production at the position being everything.

The things I might trade Ryan for.

Ryan&Cannon for a good 3rd OT. (also this drops some cap)
Ryan&Long for a good starting DE
Ryan for a 4th round pick (best you could do for him i think as far as a draft pick)

I would not trade him for a RB. We would not get one with enough impact for him and frankly I'd rather keep a solid #2 CB over a good RB.

The thing is we don't NEED to trade him. Where do we need the help?

3rd OT yes but that might not even be an issue this year for all we know. Everywhere else?

QB - no
WR - no
OIL - doesn't look like it right now
TE - no
RB - maybe but i just don't see a way it works.
DL - we are good enough here and don't need to upgrade though it be nice.
LB - no
S - no

This might be the year Bolden and Or Slater get knocked off the roster because skill position players are too aplenty.

Really? Bolden I can see but I don't see Bill cutting a guy like Slater just to make room.

Unless we can get a starting everydown back dont want or need to trade for a back either.

Unfortunately, the Pats won't be sneaking ANYBODY to the PS.

That's how the rest of the NFL* can stay competitive with those cheatin' Pats!

I don't see it. Depth is important but you have diminishing returns at some point. Would you rather have 6 Randy Moss clones or 5 Randy Moss clones and Slater? Give me Slater. At some point you just need to not be so concerned about starting depth be but sure you field competent to good STs units.

???

That's like saying Rosie O'Donnell is a Gisele clone.

Dobson was coming back from Foot surgery last year I am going to give him a pass he's also a year removed from that surgery.
I hear that and I hope you're right but he also has that minor issue with dropping passes and then ther's the occasional screw up with the play call.
