Hi awesome Patsfaners!

This is a pure nonsense, just-for-fun bye-week, hypothetical it's-just-a-game type of post/thread. Any realists can go speculate about who is going to be the Buffalo Bill's QB next September

What if NFL football was limited to an ELEVEN man roster and the same squad had to play both offense and defense, like they do in just about every other sport on the planet?

Here's my shot at an 11 man roster using just the 2014 Patriots:

Player, offense, defense, ST specialty

1. Tom Brady, QB, MLB, Punter

2. Julian Edelman, WR, Safety, PR, Placekicker, Back up QB.

3. D. Revis, WR, CB, Gunner

4. Gronk, TE, DL

5. Vince Wilfork, OL (Center), NT

6. Jamie Collins, OL (sometime TE), LB

7. Devin McCourty, WR, Safety, KR

8. Donta Hightower, OL, LB

9. Shane Vareen, RB, CB

10. Chandler Jones, OL, DL

11. Rob Ninkovich, OL, DL, Longsnapper

Brady at MLB might be a dreadful thing to imagine, but I couldn't figure out where else he would go, didn't want to not have him on the team, and the MLB is often the "quarterback" of the defense.

Vareen at CB might be tough, but needed a RB.

Would've like to get Mayo in this. Maybe Browner as a DB/TE or WR.

What's your's?
