Well Perloff has us going to the SB......

Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III top our first 2012 NFL mock draft - Andrew Perloff - SI.com

28. New England Patriots (From New Orleans Saints) -- Melvin Ingram, DE, South Carolina
The Patriots are never predictable, but you have to figure they'll go pretty heavy on defense in this draft. They've seemed hesitant to take a pass-rusher, but they need to improve in that area. Scouts are waiting to see how Ingram runs to see where he'll be slotted. New England could also look at Clemson DE Andre Branch here.

31. New England Patriots -- Jayron Hosley, CB, Virginia Tech

Hosley had nine interceptions in 2010, but was banged up last season and took a step back. The Pats have been using converted offensive players in their secondary; they need bodies.

Oh God, another high pick on a CB that's coming off injury? No thanks.

Its becoming a yearly ritual, a DB picked in the early rounds. So i guess its a safe bet saying the pats are going to take one.

I'd rather have Brandon Boykin- plays both sides of the ball and is a quality returner, and more importantly, can be picked lower.

If we're sticking with the 4-3, give me Whitney Mercilus and Fletcher Cox. I see Peter Konz and Kendal Wright are available at 28. Have to consider both. They are good players. Our defense just sucks though. I'm hoping we sign Brandon Lloyd and re-up Koppen. Sign Godson at FS. Draft some db's for depth in the 2nd.

I really don't think we will draft a DE or OLB in the 1st round this year. The drop off from the late 1st round to the 2nd round at those positions is pretty minimal. As much as it is going to irritate our fans, with our 1sts I'm pretty sure we go Best Player Available and end up with a combination of a Guard/Center, WR, or CB. There's a slight chance we take a DT depending on how some of these guys grade out (Seriously, some drafts have Still top 10, some have him 25-30, same thing with Jerel Worthy and a few others).
