Box, I'm wondering if Bruce Campbell can catch a ball. I know nothing about him but he could be the best TE on the board if he can. 6'6", 310lbs with his speed? Seems to me this kid may have missed an opportunity as a TE or even DE (if he can't catch).
Doesn't matter, LT pays better and this kid is raw enough at the position he plays.

Thanks for the input. I guess he is bound for the Raiders in that case!

Maybe. The Ravens drafted their current LT out of Maryland as a junior in the Provisional Draft with similar experience, teams will remember that and those desperate for a LT will be swarming this kid's agent for private workouts and team visits.

I forget his name, a West Virginia black quarterback just ran a 4.53.

Wildcat.

Watching on my comp, that was Jarrett Brown. That was impressive.

First time through: Arrelious Benn ran a 4.53, Riley Cooper ran a 4.52. Briscoe unimpressive 4.63. PatsFan potential binky Marcus Easley ran a 4.43, looking good. Late round favorite of PatsFans Jacoby Ford ran a 4.28 Gilyard, another PatsFan fav, ran a 4.56.

As I expected, and was hammered for saying so, Gilyard plays a lot faster than his actual speed. The kid constantly gets separation and makes space for himself, but yes, CBs caught up to him in the open field. He's very Deion Branchish.

Marcus Easley followed up with a 4.39. Not bad for a 220 pound 6'3 WR.

He just assured himself of getting drafted.

Riley Cooper looks like a spaz out there.

I don't care what the announcers say, Arrelious Benn looked SMOOOOOOOOOTH

Easley's probably jumped from 6th/7th round consideration to late third after that 90 minutes. Fantastic.

I thought Gilyard looked excellent though, co-ordinated, controlled, smooth, caught just about everything, sharp breaks. Plays much faster than that 40 time.

Brown looks the best of the QB's, nice mechanics, nice athlete, good arm - but Hiller's the one for me. He is a text book pocket passer. Text book Pats.

Gilyard's time is perfect, just where I want him.

I didn't get to see the receivers could you draw an NFL comparison to the three mentioned here:

Jacoby Ford

Marcus Easley

Gilyard

Ford - fast, nice hands, Steve Smith?

Easley - Colston. Excellent speed and fantastic hands.

Gilyard - complete. Plays faster than he looks, Ocho? (He's his mentor by the way). Maybe a bit of Reggie Wayne?

Not been a huge fan of Gilyard, but he's really impressed me.

Not sure. Ford is a sprinter who plays football. Decent hands, good quickness. Easley, kind of a David Givens with more speed. Gilyard is more of a blend of Welker and Branch, he was a high school RB who was converted to CB, kicked off the team, worked his way back, and his new coach made him a receiver.

Thanks. The pats need to draft Gilyard or a receiver like him. A complete receiver that can be #2 til wes is back.

I don't think Ford would be good here. Not sure about Easley.

Huh? He looked really bad in his cuts. Not smooth at all. He fell down when cutting once and he seemed slow around the cones. He dropped a lot of passes. He looks the part, he's strong and he can run. Those are the positives I saw.

Edit: I just heard that Benn won't be performing the agility drills. WTF? I want to see those numbers. Meanwhile Gilyard is out there trying to prove himself.

Gilyard is a nice multi-purpose weapon who can push Edleman and Tate as a receiver and returner. Easley is a nice development project, he's got some deep speed and size to potentially grow into a 1.

Baby Jesus with a 4.7 40 yard dash. Such a weird prospect....
