2006 was the worst year of NFL I have seen. The game play was beyond bad. Officating was at an all time low. And most of the games I found to be boring, even the big games. Maybe I am just a Pats homer because if the Patriots are not playing I find it hard to enjoy the games anymore. I used to just enjoy the games even if the Patriots were a last place team.

I felt it was a bad super bowl, and it was more the Peyton Manning corrination... :bricks:

The SB this year was pretty dull and not just because the Pats weren't in it. I enjoyed the Rams/Titans SB and even enjoyed watching the Bucs kick the Raiders all over the field.

Last year and this year just sucked.

As if we needed further proof that the NFL spoon fed Manning his title - him winning the MVP over deserving players like Addai and Rhodes was the icing on the cake.

Besides the throw I could have made to Reggie Wayne, he did a whole lot of nothing.

This was a rather uneventful game - the commercials were very dull. To all the idiots out there who said "the Patriots don't deserve to be in ANOTHER Super Bowl..." at least they tend to play in GOOD games -- this certainly was not a good game.

I am hoping and praying the NFL goes back to normal now in terms of officiating (stop protecting the Colts!) -- and please, please implement a system where you allow Pass Interferance calls to be challenged. For crying out loud if you can challenge whether or not a player got off the field before you snapped the ball (which I find to be highly unsportsmanlike and cowardly), you outght to be able to challenge a call that arguably kept the Patriots out of their fourth Super Bowl in six seasons.

THIS JUST IN - faceguarding still IS NOT a penalty... imagine that.

Where is that sour grapes picture that was posted after you guys beat the Chargers?

Did Manning deserve the MVP? Probably not. But for you to say he did nothing proves how little you know about the game of football.

My apologies - he did throw a lame duck pass that was intercepted in the first quarter.

The only QB that deserved MVP consideration was Rex Grossman - because his idiocy won the game for the Colts. Given the rain - the Colts ran the ball most of the time -- Manning hit a few passes but to give him the MVP was a joke.

But like I said - maybe the NFL execs will finally take Manning's johnson out of their mouths and restore some respectability to the NFL.

I disagree. I thought last year was much worse.
