2 Slot WR Set

We saw a little bit of this at the start of last year with Amendola and Edelman. Our best WR's currently are both slot receivers, do you think this is what we will emphasize or no?

Will we work towards a 2 TE set like the old days with Gronk and The Prisoner that we were so dominant with?

Dobson will be the best WR on the team next year in my opinion.

I would expect to see –

Y-WR – Edelman
X-WR – Dobson

Amendola, Boyce, and any other WRs signed will duel for the #3 spot with Amendola having the edge entering camp.

To answer your question I think Amendola was expected to be the starter and excel, his injury and lackluster performance opened the door for Edelman to prove how good he is, he received an offer from the 49ers, which he took back to the Patriots, and they matched. This gives us two slot receivers, but long-term unless Amendola has a breakout season he will be released after the 2014 season.

I would have to concur. Dobson has Brady's trust and was coming on strong until the injury, just hope that foot heals up.

Yeah I expect Amendola to not be here after 2014. I doubt he would be here currently if not for the cap hit making it redundant to get rid of him.

Emphasis on the "I think" part. If I saw it reported I would have worded it different and referenced who reported it. I think that is what happen.
