TO BE 100% CLEAR
I expect Campbell to be out 2026 starter at LT
===============================
LT: Campbell, Lomu, AVT
RT: Moses, Crownover, AVT

My suspicion for 2027
LT: Lomu
LG: Campbell
OC: Wilson
RG: AVT plus draftee
RT: Crownover or Moses
IOL backup: Brown

WHICH IS A BETTER TRANSITION?
1) Lomu to RT
2) Campbell to RT or
3) Campbell to LG

Of course, the bonus is having 5 young starters already on our roster. This also makes more sense than making Crownover a permanent backup.

How about D. None of the above. It's amazing how this season hasn't even begun and you're making ridiculous projections for 2027. Are you really that hard up to post that you have to do that?

Better yet, why don't you speculate if Devito or Morton will be the starter in 2028 with Maye being traded.

why so critical? We are here to discuss any and all topics. If thread is ridiculous to you , you can ignore it. I apologize if coming in harsh but his topic can be interesting to entertain at least.

Why so critical of a guy making new threads just to do so? It's not like he's looking for legit conversation. How is it "interesting to entertain" when they haven't even done Rookie Mini-CAMP yet? It has as much legitimacy as a $3 Bill does as legal tender.

Maybe if the season had started it MIGHT be interesting to entertain. Right now, it's asinine and has zero foundation in reality.

My hope for 2027:

- Campbell sticks at LT
- AVT at LG
- Wilson at OC
- Lomu at RT
- Crownover at swing tackle
- Ben Brown as primary IOL depth

You need athletic bookend tackles in today's NFL, e.g., Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt. I'm ok if Campbell and Lomu end up flipping sides, whatever works best.

That leaves only RG to address for 2027, which is far easier than finding another starting tackle.

We have the strongest, deepest, and most versatile OL that we've had since 2011. Finally.

In 2011 we had Matt Light, Sebastian Vollmer, and rookies Nate Solder and Marcus Cannon at OT. We had Logan Mankins and Brian Waters at guard, and Dan Koppen at center, with Dan Connolly and Ryan Wendell for depth. We rode that OL to the SB, with a very flawed team.

Moses won't likely be around, so you have a sixth round pick moving Campbell to guard, even before he's practiced.

Campbell would have to have an pretty unimpressive season for that to occur.

Why would a person make a new thread if they aren't interested in conversation? It isn't like it can be used as a pick up line or something. There's nothing to be gained other than engagement with other people.

Fun speculation. I've been resisting all thoughts of Campbell moving inside because it seems to be rooted in reactive entitlement when its been brought up in the past. But your post is different. Hmmm.

To be 100% clear, I think Campbell is a 10-year LT starter.

I’m not sure how different @DaBruinz post is (at least in regards to Campbell); it’s just more of the passive-aggressive posting by guys who feel pissed off that they lost the short arms argument.

The rest is ok speculation & good for discussion. But whether the rest of them get used as IOL (G), 6th Jumbos, or just swing backups doesn’t interest me so much.

IMO Campbell-Lomu will remain the LT-RT bookends for at least 3 years together. The only question in my mind is whether Moses gets displaced in 2026 or 2027.

Campbell looked good to great before his knee injury and fair to terrible after it.

I am 100% convinced he rushed back and the knee wasn’t ready. Question is how well and when the knee will heal.

Very, very hard to say what they will do before we know that. And I don’t think we really see that until game 1 of the real season.

To be clear, wish Campbell nothing but the best.

I think it's too soon to pencil Crownover in at RT for 2027. Hell, it might be too soon to pencil him in on the roster for 2026.

I expect them to plan for Lomu at RT and then see what they have in 2027 when Moses is probably moving on. If Crownover or Bryant or whoever has proven themselves to be anything more than a backup by then, that'll be a wonderful problem to have.

You are already kicking Marcus Bryant off the Roster like you did Kayshon Boutte @ WR many moons ago. How did that turn out?? I see History have taught you nothing. Bryant got basically a Rookie Redshirt year he can improve.

These are good problems to have - versatility and depth. Shades of 2011 when we had Matt Light and Sebastian Vollmer but drafted Nate Solder and Marcus Cannon. That got us through 5 SB appearances and 3 Lombardis.

Agree completely, including the part about WC and Lomu possibly flipping sides (in 2028). Lomu looks smooth at LT.

IF Lomu looks the Part at LT in TC I would not be opposed.
He's pretty young. Redshirt sophomore. Think about this for a second; Tom Brady threw that horrible pick off his ass in Miami 3 days before Lomu was born.

Using the #4 overall pick on a LG would have been a poor use of draft capital

I am pretty sure they stick with Campbell at LT unless he flat out fails like he did in SB

As per others, this OL depth chart is so much nicer to look at than the one we had in the Jones/Zappe era. What a **** show that was. Now, relatively speaking, we have an embarrassment of riches. It's good we have young talent because these days these guys get PAID.

Hey, you don't walk on DaBruinz's side of the street without getting carped at....

Ignore button is invisible to him.
