2026 Draft: Cornerback

Couple of plays in that series that Ponds likely would have been flagged for DPI in the NFL.. He'll have to clean that up.. Still exciting to watch. Reminds me a lot o Marcus Jones.
Good comp.

Jordan Reid has just said Karon Prunty is one of his favourite late day 3 corners. We've shown plenty of interest.
Watch that Dumbf**k Mazz intentionally butcher the kid's name like he did with Jacas.

Don't do this to me. I'd given up on dreaming on Charles Demmings, but look who his no 1 comp on mockdraftable is.

Tell us about Johnson. Jeremiah has us picking him as BPA, indicating that he can play safety as well as corner and that he was an inexpensive addition who would eventually replace Davis.

Dane Brugler's favourite prospect in the whole draft. Exceptional in zone, sticky in man. Needs to get more physical in both the pass and run games.

I would not be upset if they did take him at 31. There would be no questions about his play.

So, we would pick our 2026 dime back at 31?
You seem happy taking our backup RT at 31. I'd also point out our starting CBs lost more time to injury last year than Moses.

I well understand the irony.

I think that the CB situation is much more solid that the OT situation.

OT's are really hard to find. I might feel differently if Munford were re-signed and I thought that the team thought that Bryant was a likely future starter.

As it is, we are comparing a dime back vs a swing OT.
==================
I am NOT ruling out picking Johnson. He's a fine player. However, are we really to believe that Vrabel prefers him to a top EDGE player and to a top NT? If Jeremiah is right in that assessment, I would want us to trade down. We should get OK value from someone who wants Johnson, McDonald or Parker and values at least one of them higher than Vrabel does..

I don’t think they’re taking a first round corner. I think a safety (EMW or Stukes) would be more likely.

Here is my end of the night target if we stick at 95

Jordan Reid has just said Karon Prunty is one of his favourite late day 3 corners. We've shown plenty of interest.

Do you consider 171 "late" day 3? I don't.

Yeah I know all the decent CB were taken by then; so Eliot The **** - if he really, Really wanted a CB that badly there - should've taken a chance on Domani Jackson, or on the non-twitchy beanpole Hezekiah Masses, or later on Toledo's Andre Fuller... Prunty's worthless sub-UDFA-level Crap.

5th round on is late day 3, particularly the end of day 3.

Sit Downi and STFU. My god. You whine worse than a HO jumping for a $3 bill.

171 is 85 picks from the end of the draft. So, yeah, it's late Day 3.

Prunty is NOT a "worthless sub-UDFA level" player. Please pick up "Football Scouting for Dummies" or "football scouting methods" by Steve Belichick. You'd actually learn something,

Prunty is 6'1 4/8 - 190 lbs - 31 3/4" arms - SS 4.20 - 3Cone 6.82 and a 40 of 4.45. 1 Int/8 PBUs/ 34 TT / 1FF - 20 comp on 45 targets (44.4%) -

Jackson is 6'0 6/8 - 194 lbs 31 1/8" arms - No SS or 3Cone - 40 = 4.41 . 34 TT/ 1PBU 14 comp on 18 targets (77.8%).
Fuller is 6'1 - 200 lbs - 30 3/4" arms - SS 4.28 - No 3 Cone - 40 = 4.49 - 49 TT/ 12 PBU/ 1 Int - 20 comp on 48 targets (41.7%)
Masses is 6'0 5/8 - 174lbs - 31 1/4" arms - SS 4.51 - 3cone 7.31 - 40 = 4.46 -47TT/13 PBU/5 Ints - 27/58 (46/6%)

The fact that you're advocating for a guy who was worse than Alex Austin at the college level is really telling.

Fuller - Trending up to HPFA..
Masses - Trending UP to somewhere in the 4th to 7th range
Domani Jackson trending DOWN in the 4th to 7th range.

We get it. You're a draft pundit sycophant who doesn't think for yourself. Which is why you should pick up a book on scouting,. And realize that 5-7th rounds teams go with projects whom they like. Prunty met with the Pats 3 or 4 times. They liked him.

OH.. BTW. I seem to remember you lambasting the team about Woodson last year. You were F'in WRONG about him. Just like you were WRONG about Onwenu, Dugger and a host of others,
