Odds that the Pats and Bills get moved to Monday or later given the circumstances?

High, I would think, if indeed the Bills are flying back to Buffalo tonight. Or maybe the weekend schedule is played and the Bengals-Bills gamw resumed the weekend after only "if necessary", in which case the playoffs are pushed back a week.

The Bills/Bengals was suspended because of the injury to Hamlin who is now in critical condition at UC Medical Center. Hopefully he will be ok.

Bottom line if the Patriots want to make the playoffs they need to beat the Bills. I don't think it's going to happen but that's the only guaranteed way to get in.

Buffalo as a city has had a really tough past 12 months including a mass shooting and a blizzard in which 39 people died and now this.
I think we can all agree on hoping for the best possible outcome for Damar Hamlin.


No matter what the timing of the game (which certainly seems of minimal importance compared with what happened tonight) I think the Bills and possibly the Pats will be negatively impacted from an emotional and intensity standpoint.

Personally, even as a patriots fan....I would not be at all disappointed to see some good things happen for the Bills team and the city for the final 6 weeks of this season.

There’s also a decent chance the Bills will rest players anyway and just want to get week 18 over as soon as possible. If the Bills do not win against the Bengals (whether that’s a loss, tie, or no contest), the Chiefs would clinch the #1 seed with a win on Saturday.

The Benglas can win out and take the 2 seed from the Bills. There is no scenario where next week is meaningless for the Bills. And personally it would feel ****ty and cheap as hell to win and get in the playoffs because of something like this.

Are you assuming Mac is not working hard to improve? Maybe he is and the coaching staff is letting him down?


It absolutely is his business and has earned the right. Why hasn't he earned the right? He is THE starting QB. Hes putting himself out on the field every day getting tossed around by large, violent men and the demand of him is to perform.

To not hold those accountable who impact his performance and livelihood is crap. He is not an indentured servant. It's his career. He should own it.

Everyone of this offense has performed underwhelming right so why is mac allowed to yell at coaches or get frustrated ? His receivers or o line could yell too if mac throws an inaccurate pass because they earned their starting job and block or run routes so they deserve an accurate pass

I'd be shocked if the Bills-Bengals don't play tonight if they get word that Hamlin is doing ok. If he's not, then finishing the Bills-Bengals game in week 19 and pushing all the playoff games another week makes most sense. They are not going to give the NFC team any advantage by allowing that conference to move forward as planned - if they did this the NFC team would obviously have an extra week off before the super bowl while the AFC team does not.
