Anyone remember those days? The 2TE offense where you never knew if it was a run or a pass. Asiasi is 6'5 265 and Keene is the shiftier TE/hback. Reminds of when, in the same season, Gronk went for 90 receptions and Hernandez caught 79 balls. This is an ideal 2TE system to help out Stidham.

Gronkowski, Hernandez are two of a kind

Love the picks/vision, although I believe Asiasi is 6’3.

I’m very happy they finally drafted 2 TEs. They weren’t who I wanted, we took Keene instead of Trautman, but obviously they loved Keene, because they gave up a ****load to get him.

One thing I love about this is, TE is always a great security blanket for a young inexperienced QB, so now Stidham has 2 of them. And who knows, maybe one of Izzo or LaCosse will make it too.

My final thought is, I love the concept, but not sure of the execution of the concept will pay off. Asiasi was rated anywhere from the 4th best TE to the 10th, and the Pats made him the 2nd TE off the board ahead of several higher rated TEs. And Keene might of been an even bigger reach. So hopefully they fit the Pats system and don’t wind up the next Izzo’s on our team. We really need them to mesh with Stidham and actually produce.

Once again explosive receiver weapons were ignored, and Edelman is going to need some help from the TEs.

I forget. How many Super Bowls have the Pats won with an explosive wide receiver?

I’ll hang up and listen to your answer.

Keene was not a reach. If you watched film on him you'd see this, his biggest knock was production but only because the offense didn't feature him a whole lot. He filled many roles very well on the offense. He has nice hands and scored at the most athletic TE in the class (think AHern). He is a high character guy, gym rat, student of the game and plays with violence (on the field only). I think Patsnation is going to be pleasantly surprised with both picks at the position. Now in no way am I saying these guys are going on to be the next Gronk + AHern - only time will tell on that BUT I will say both these guys make the offense better.

It's a little scary how much we're relying on TE and linebacker rookies though

that was a killer duo

Ok. I don't know. I saw 6'5 a couple places which makes him as big as Gronk almost
How ****ing hard is it to standardize measuring height?

All players need to do is take their shoes off. Jesus

Even though im higher on sony than most here, kinda hoping harris can take over more snaps from him since he seems more of a 2 way threat. You line him burkhead or white in a 2 te , 2 wr, single back set and defenses will have no idea what’s coming.

Agree. The 2TE offense will be lethal with a balanced back threat. When Sony is in defenses key on RUN bc McDaniels uses Sony to run 99% of the time or wastes downs on crappy pass plays to Sony

Happy we have have two (seemingly) talented TE. This at least gives us a new dimension..

This is not going to be Grimm/Hernandez. I’d LOVE to be wrong on this...
