So that means Cousins is a goner. Wonder if Jacksonville is going to go all-in on him?

I’d be surprised if the Jags didn’t go after him. The Jags if they can get him could become a very very strong contender again. It’s just going to be about them Manging the Cap.

Skins got a third for cousins and the pats got a second for JG. I guess we did ok but what happened to the qb market when franchise qbs netted you more.

Easier said than done without screwing up their roster and cap for years to come.

Their roster is good enough that they nearly made it to Minnesota with Bortles at QB and their top WR on IR beginning in week-2 ... Allen Robinson, a UFA now.

How did the Skins get "a third for Cousins"? He's not under contract for 2018.

I read it on a yahoo sports report. I not sure if that’s reliable though. I actually meant the chiefs traded a third of him. Let me find the article.

I think that's a typo that was intended to read, "Washington is sending Kansas City a third round pick in exchange for Smith."

Not sure what you're referring to. We signed him to a RFA deal before 2013 which PIT matched, so he had no choice in that matter.

I think the next year, we might have still wanted him, but he may have chosen Denver. I don't remember how that went down though. I do remember reading an article by Sanders himself saying the Broncos originally wanted LaFell, though.

Yeah, you got it right. I genuinely couldn't remember the exact story. I just had a vague recollection that we pursued him. Have no idea how old he is or how much he has left. Unless you are talking about a game changing , top five WR I like this WR corp. The issue is not talent. We just need everyone to be healthy and they will be a scary group next year. If we sign Sanders who goes? Not sure he's an upgrade over anybody we have now. I especially don't want Amendola to go. Way too clutch.

Report is Broncos will cut Emanuel Sanders and I hope we are there to catch him.

We’d have to let go of a quality receiver. I can’t see us with edelman, cooks, amendola and sanders. Brady can’t throw to everyone, not to mention having Gronk.

Or Dorset or Brit can be let go. Sanders is a great receiver. Brady can’t throw to every one but it helps when you have another receiver who can run good routes and can get open consistently with good hands.

Didn't we already try to get him and he didn't want to come here?

No.

He signed an offer sheet from the Pats and the Steelers matched it. The next offseason the Broncos signed him to a deal that was too pricey for BB and we got LaFell instead.

Britt, Edelman and Dola (each for different reasons) are anything but roster locks at this point. Dorsett on his affordable contract will remain Cooks insurance. Theoretically there is space for Sanders but the offense is so full of talented players (add in RBs and TEs) that it would definitely not be the best use of resources given some of the holes on defense.

That’s why I said about them going to try and mange the cap. As Ramsey and co aren’t going to come cheap. I think Dante Flower could be a potential cut.
