Lewis is a gamechanger when healthy. Let's hope it continues. Very glad that we did not trade him for a 5th round pick. He helps us win games.

Gillislee has been somewhat disappointing though. Blount has looked better in Philadelphia than Gillislee in New England. Did we sign the wrong RB in free agency?

Gillislee will show his value late in season......Pats stable of RB's is l;ike a swiss army knife....To me it looks like it could be one of the better backfields the Pats have had in quite some time....

• Lewis is the team's best RB
• Lewis and Burkhead are really the team's two "3 down" backs, with Gillislee being the 1st down guy, and White being a 3rdDRB
  
• Lewis is getting ever closer to 100%
• Lewis has a weakness as a pass protector
• Lewis has an injury issue

When you put that together, I'm fine with the team pacing him until the playoffs, as long as he's not ignored, and he understands the long term plan at least well enough not to get too frustrated. That seems to be the direction they're heading, and it might even be that we'll see the team increase the percentage of running plays, which would take pressure of the OL and pave the way for more work divided among Gillislee/Lewis/Burkhead (when those ribs are healed).
