Dont’a Hightower Reportedly ‘Exploring But Open To Returning’ To Patriots

Trying not to get my hopes too high...

I'm more concerned about Malcolm butler.

This is not really news.

This makes me feel more confident in his return. Seems like the conversations have been positive throughout this process. Unless a team goes wayyy overboard with an offer, I think he stays a Patriot.

Why? Do you really think someone is gonna give him a market value contract AND give the patriots their first round pick? Lots of good corners in this draft class as well. 0% chance we lose Butler this year, unless someone gets stupid and Belechick prefers the first round pick.

I think the Patriots would go 5/65/40 with Hightower, but not higher.

This class's deep at cornerback. Would be dissapointed if we don't draft one.

Jesus those are monster numbers...

I don't think you are far off.

We will lose ryan unfortunately but hightower's most important. Would love tbe pats to draft gareon conley or Sidney jones

I was thinking 13 mil but more guaranteed money upfront.

Well when I did his math the $40m guaranteed gets him $13.3m over the first 3 years of the deal . That seems like his market.

They might sprinkle in some other $ in there to get it to $14m for the average for the 1st 3 years.

At the end of the day the guaranteed up-front $ are all that matters.

stupid happens all the time in that league. so no i would not be surprised to see a team give him a market deal. he's an excellent player. he's worth a 1 for a team later in the first rd that needs a corner.
