Be concerned about both. Hightower is just as important to the schemes Belichick likes to run as Butler is. I personally think both are coming back.

Well when I did his math the $40m guaranteed gets him $13.3m over the first 3 years of the deal . That seems like his market.

They might sprinkle in some other $ in there to get it to $14m for the average for the 1st 3 years.

At the end of the day the guaranteed up-front $ are all that matters.

stupid happens all the time in that league. so no i would not be surprised to see a team give him a market deal. he's an excellent player. he's worth a 1 for a team later in the first rd that needs a corner.

There's no reason to be. No team can craft a contract that the Patriots can't match. Butler's not going anywhere, unless the Patriots allow it.
