Goodell rejects Kraft request

Goodell went out of his way to point out that he rejected it 2 weeks ago.

So the Krafts, including Jonathan, were lying to Patriots fans.

Now I know why the Krafts like Goodell.

They are liars just like he is.

I don't like being lied to.
Why are we assuming Goodell is telling the truth? Chances are he never responded and just made up that he rejected it. Everything Goodell says should be highly in question.

Rumor has it the letter Bob wrote had already been buried-at-sea for a week before we even heard he had written it.
Bob only told us he wrote it to get in front of Goodell announcing he rejected it.

Maybe Kraft can write Goodell one letter a day asking him to reconsider like in Shawshank. Then, when he gives the fourth rounder back, Kraft can write two letters a day.

Shocked, just shocked! I would have never suspected this in a million years.

It must be obvious by now (?) to BK and his entourage that they are merely tolerated as a member of the Billionaire Boys Club. Either that or the NFL appreciates the frat boy mentalist of the Pats ownership. "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

Why? Obvious reasons. When it comes to sticking it to Kraft, he can't help himself. He's not going to wait more than a minute. He kicks Kraft with glee, it gives him pleasure. It's an S&M relationship.

I only have a few things to add:
  • I love having NFL football in my life as a way to escape from real world problems
  • I wish the league and media emphasized more of the positive stories that these athletes are associated with instead of all this "soap opera" drama and negativity.
  • I don't really care too much about our filthy rich owner (or any owner of a team I like) as long as the team keeps competing and doesn't have too much media attention around him or her (i.e. Jerry Jones). Let the NFL be about the players, you know the ones that play the games.
  • I wish I could stop clicking on these "Deflategate" related threads. I think my problem is that I have an analytical mind and a part of me enjoys exploring a path out of this mess. I guess one could say I am a bit addicted. (Step 1. Admit your addiction.)
  • I will have a hard time not watching the NFL even if it keeps getting more corrupt. I wish it wasn't true, but I enjoy the ritual too much and as a 50 year old it will be hard to break this habit. I justify it by not watching commercials and only watching games on DVR after they have been played (except playoff games).

This is how imagine the Patriots' relationship to Goodell. Goodell is the warden, the Patriots are Paul Newman:

Go back and watch/listen to Kraft when he was talking about this. Watch him give a pregnant pause, and then refuse to answer the question of whether or not he'd gotten a response from the league.

Ok!! Now that I know we're close to the same age, you softened me.

I just don't get when people take the easy way and click on the disagree icon rather than taking the time to respond as you've finally done!

I understand your frustration, but my anger has been focused on Goodell and his staff. I don't have enough left to be angry with Kraft

Hopefully we don't get decimated by injuries again next year and shove it up Goodell's arse in SB51

PS: I gave up drinking in 1989....even Kool Aid!
There is no question we both want the same results for the team and its fans. The reason I haven;t posted much in the last months is that I was admonished for being annoying and I told Ivan that I wouldn't post unless it was in response to another person addressing me. I actually feel more sad than anything else regarding Kraft. He really is a good person and was an admirable owner but I just don't think he gets it anymore otherwise. If you can remember back when Willie Mays at the end of his career was playing for the Mets and couldn't catch the ball, that is what I fell about Kraft. He should just leave and protect his reputation. I am glad we had this exchange.
