NE vs Miami pregame thread

I don't normally make predictions, but I see the Pats coming out and laying a beat down on Miami.

Regardless of the possibility of injuries, the Pats have been uncharacteristically mediocre since Thanksgiving, and I don't see BB wanting his team to limp into the playoffs on a generally down note with no positive momentum, and expecting the Pats to suddenly turn it on.

We get a very satisfying win Sunday and then get to get a well-deserved, and much-needed week off before the Pats start their playoff run.

Brady was on MNF radio before the game and stated "consistent" players are coming back for the Dolphins game when asked why the Pats offense struggled in NJ. Brady didn't name anyone but I wouldnt be shocked to see Edelman on the field.

The announcer also poked fun at Brady. "Tom, you've always told us that the season begins after thanksgiving. Well, NE is 2 - 3 after thanksgiving this season, When are you going to start to play?" Brady laughed and said " Man, youre tough"
consistent players? even Dion Lewis?

The Dolphins can't wait for the season to end.....the pats can go in there quietly and win the game with conservative play

Get to tannehill a few times early and that will be that.... They can run or stop the run

What qualifies as a "high" ankle sprain?

Regular ankle sprains are to the talofibular ligaments. High ankle sprain is an injury to the tib/fib ligaments that connect the tibia and fibula. There are more structures that get damaged in that area, and it is a high load bearing area, so recovery is usually at least 6 weeks.

I think we'll see Edelman and Amendola back for the Miami game. Chandler too, perhaps. I think Hightower will sit, and maybe Chung and McCourty as well.

The Pats will win the game by 10 points or more - not a blowout, but not a nail-biter either. They'll have a couple of guys get hurt, but they'll be able to come back for the playoffs. So they'll have the #1 seed, and basically be getting most of their guys not on IR (except Vollmer) back for the divisional round.

13-3, #1 seed, HFA, relatively decent health. That would be perfectly fine with me.

I think we have to start with better line play. Going to be interesting to see who plays left tackle. Waddle looked pretty good before he got hurt. I guess it's Flemming and Cannon and hold our breath!!!
I think if we get an early lead, Miami will wave the flags and quit, so it's important we get off to a good start and keep pounding them!!!

I haven't heard any updates on Waddle other than he had a shoulder injury.

How long is he out for?

He also said its "all hands on deck," and that they have to win this game, that they work all offseason and season to have homefield advantage.

Then, Dikembe must come down from the mountain and appear before the game commence.

I don't see this Miami Dolphins team being able to beat us. There is smoke coming out almost everywhere in Miami with coaching issues, locker room controversies, players taking business decisions on the field instead of giving 100%.

This is as much of a gift already wrapped for us as any game that decides HFA could be. Unless we have an Eagles-esque meltdown with multiple turnovers I honestly don't see how the Dolphins can win that game.

Well there's the back to back road game bugaboo. The chilling effect of already having a bye week secured and being afraid of more injuries from going full throttle against a team with a cheap shot artist rep.

I think we'll win but it may be closer than we'd like.

The only thing that matters is what happened this year with this season's players on both teams. Any other kind of statistic is irrelevant and doesnt contribute anything.
