No you can't. Pats won, they lost. End of argument. Pats took the lead with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd quater in the 1st game and then went on an 11 play, 60 yard 5 minute drive to the end the other game. There is no argument to be made that they should have won.



Another narrative that has been overstated. Patriots beat "rugged physical" teams far more than those teams beat the Patriots.

The run defense was atrocious yesterday. No excuses for that. They had their LBs

Hightower was clearly not 100% and both safeties were out (both of whom are very good run defenders). The Pats were definitely vulnerable up the middle due to injuries. The scheme of leaving the middle open didn't help.

BTW, speaking of the defense, I think the Pats were taken out of their normal defense due to the losses of McCourty and Chung. They played a lot more zone than usual because it limited having the safeties try to pick the proper over the top coverage that McCourty is so good at. It also hurt the running game because the Pats were forced to leave wide open spaces in the middle.

Brady is nearly getting killed out there and he is still nearly getting the job done. I think they need HFA and must get it. They also need Edleman and Dola. Remember early on all the 1.7 to 2 second release time for Brady talk? That mitigated an already bad Offensive line. They need Edleman and to get that going again somehow or we could be a one and done HFA team this year. Brady and the receivers are going to have to bail out that O-Line with that game plan again.
