Better hope Asante isn't thinking I ain't playing for one year for no stinkin' $7.9M when I could probably get twice that in signing bonus this year. Or that if he is that tag and trade was the Pat's plan for him all along.

Tag and trade might be their strategy - with this whole potentially signing AT stuff, I'm not sure I see them devoting 8 mill of next year's cap space to Asante if they are giving AT a big chunk of change.
