Pats -Seahawks to play in china next year- official annoucement tommorow night

Rumored for awhile..this is not the best news for the team..They will have an early camp..(maybe a wek earlier..) so they will be in shape for the early game. AND with 5 games, should have time after the trip to get grounded and ready. 3 weeks of games here before the season. The Pats do have a Chinese wed site..will be interesting with bacl to back games...And OT: the Pats players can hang around with Deion..since some miss him. I think a big opportunity, but I HOPE the league makes the season easier for these teams..they do need some compensation for messing up the usual training routines.

I guess for the league it's all about the marketing baby. And it's great that Dallas wants to play in Mexico, they could bus in. Sending an East Coast team to China is lunacy.

Hopefully Matt Cassel will have one hell of a game. And at least it's early enough to recover from whatever they contract beyond massive jet lag. Given what happened to Tedy flying home from playing in Hawaii last year I hope BB leave half the starters in Seattle or better yet Foxboro.

I may move to Hong Kong soon. If I do, I'll be at that game.

I'm confucius . . .

If its not a sellout, will the game be blacked out in Beijing?

We obviously need Eugene Chung back for this game but will his signing harm his Hall of Fame eligibility?

When Chinese fans hear of the Patriot Dynasty, will they be asking if the Pats belong to the Ming or the Manchu?

If PatJewChew goes to the game and has a beer, that beverage would be a PatJewChewBrew? True?

At least it isn't being played in 2008 when the Pats already are going out to Seattle, Oakland, SF, and SD

I won't be making the trip

I know the league wants to expand their marketing, but trips like this are deadly to a team. It took the Colts nearly a month to get back to normal after travelling to Japan.

Hey, let me know when you start with the jokes about Blacks and Mexicans. Saying that the Patriots should bring Eugene Chung back for their trip to China is really funny. Thanks for not calling him a gook though. That was nice of you. Let me know when the next meeting of the Aryan Nation is scheduled to take place.

The odds on thrombosis go way down when you make sure to move around frequently during the flight, rather than sitting there and falling asleep, because of Tedy I am sure they will be extra vigilant on all their flights from now on.

I wonder what pressure, if any, the NFL will put on the Pats/Seahawks to play thier starters for a good amount of time.

thats bull****

Wonder what tailgating will be like in BeJing?? I am sure BB will go along, but will not like this distraction.

Wouldn't they only have to travel to two of the four?

1 - the starters will play minimum 2 quartes imho if not 3...
2 - i'm interested to see the reaction of chinese people (the stadium will be full)
3 - why the Pats ?
4 - i hope there will be an NFL regular season game playied in Europe soon (not necessarly the Patriots but still i hope in a New England @ Miami playied in UK or DE)
5 - the players surely will be not very happy to go to China for a pre-season game...

Hmmmm.... that totally cuts into the meat of the training camp schedule. I wonder if I should apply for a passport and start saving my money now... hehehe!

Nope, those ARE the away games, we play both the AFC West and the NFC West that year. Our home games are against ARZ, STL, DEN, and KC. What a schedule, though those teams may well be easier or tougher by then.

The bright side... Hopefully this means one less preseason ticket we have to pay for.
