NFL News Jets trade Jermaine Johnson to Tennessee for T'Vondre Sweat

I watched Sweat and Byron Murphy when they were playing for UT, I always thought Sweat was the better player. Maybe a bit of a handful off the field, but that's why you have a guy like Vrabel.

Patriots Player Departure Pats trade Garrett Bradbury to the Bears for a 2027 5th

I think if you get a good LG, either via FA or the draft, you'll help the LT. You can move Wilson to his natural position. I think you can improve three OL spots with one move.

    Will Campbell Watch

In 2024, I thought that the Patriots' offensive line was one of the worst I've ever seen. This year they improved somewhat, but a lot of work is needed. Not sure about the two rookies, but they need to spend some serious cap space and day 1-2 draft picks on the OL.

Cool Link Ian article & Mayo Legacy

I feel bad for Jerod. He was elevated to a position for which he had neither the qualifications nor the experience. Ideally, he would have gained more experience as an assistant or coordinator before getting a HC job. It's going to be hard for him to start climbing the ladder again. The Krafts...

Has anyone ever seen the NFL office overturn a ball that's been properly spotted by the refs?

I think the league wants certain matchups for games, and the officials are smart enough to figure that out. I've always thought that one of the the best ways to figure out which way the officials are leaning is to check the spots early in the game.

A year ago we were stressing the #1 pick. Now we're stressing the #1 seed.

And remember that Sean McDermott would absolutely not allow the Patriots to lose that last game. The only reason he played his 3rd string QB was that he didn't have a 4th string QB. Would be nice to pay him back for that one.

    13-3

I would have been happy with six wins. Enjoying this season more than any I can think of, going back to 2007.

NFL to shorten time between first-round picks to eight minutes

Here's another easy way to shorten it--the team with the #1 pick gets 0 minutes. Walk out, open the draft and simply say "With the first pick in the draft..."

    Debut of the Nor'easters

They went from red, white and blue, the greatest color combo in the history of the world, to confederate gray. Why, exactly?

    Barmore Benching

It's a pro football team, not a book club. There are going to be a few miscreants, especially on defense. Good coaches can (mostly) keep them in line, or get rid of them if they can't.

NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION W6 Other Games: Thursday Night Football Edition: PHI v NYG

Amyone else see this? Washington DC - October 10, 2025. **URGENT** The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is urging Americans to conduct wellness checks on all Philadelphia sports fans today. In addition to referring affected persons to local mental health resources, the NIH is also calling...

    Mea Culpa

I think the misuse use comes from using him on punt returns and not kick off returns. With the new rules, a good KR is a valuable asset.

Tyquan Thornton thanks us for all the hate and doubt

The kid couldn't catch and broke every time he hit the ground. Good riddance.

OT: Changes to NFL Redzone... Thanks espn

Eh, I DVR redzone and fast forward through a lot of it anyways. Who watches it for seven hours?

Vrabel tells it like it is about the Pats drafting

Totally agree. As a comment, I get :poop: when I say this is a bad roster and I'd be happy with 6 wins. I should have said it your way, i.e., we're going to have premium draft picks for the next two years. Sounds better.

    Sports Illustrated NFL Power Rankings

That first sentence should be the Patriots theme for this year. Nicely done!

Vrabel tells it like it is about the Pats drafting

Vrabel is telling it like it is. This is not a playoff team. They won 4 games last year, but it should have been 2 or 3. They snuck up on the Bengals in the first game, and there was no way Sean McDermott was going to let them lose the last game and get the #1 pick. I think their roster has...

Patriots Player Departure Jabrill Peppers Released (Update: Signs w/Steelers)

Why? Cause he can't cover anybody, that's why. Vrabel wants guys who can cover.

Yeah--red, white and blue. Only the greatest color scheme in the history of the world.
