Today In Patriots History April 3: AWTE Russ Francis

I always enjoy your "Trips down memory lane". :) Russ Francis was quite the character and a great player. I also like your other history posts as well. I saw the "original" Temptations live back in the day and they put on a awesome show. There was a great movie about the Temptations...

Today In Patriots History Feb 23, 2010: Mosi Tatupu passes away at the age of 54

Thanks for the trip down a much appreciated trip down "Memory Lane". I remember most of these players and of course Billy Sullivan but didn't know about some of the bad stuff about John Stephens.

The Bandwagon - On it or Off It?

I have either listened to every Patriot game on the radio, watched on TV or have seen live in person at Schaefer Stadium or Gillette over the past 54 Years. I can not remember ever missing a game one way or another over this time span. I remember being at Schaefer Stadium in 1971 for a game...

Patriots Pregame Thread We are on to Tampa Bay: AFCE vs NFCS division leaders, 2025 Week 10

Not really. I was just trying to imply (with wishful thinking :) ) that I think Josh Allen is an overall better QB than Baker and if we could beat Josh Allen in Buffalo it's possible we could beat Baker Mayfield in Tampa. Got my fingers crossed with no Boutte though.

Patriots Pregame Thread We are on to Tampa Bay: AFCE vs NFCS division leaders, 2025 Week 10

A few things. First of all, I'm looking at this game against Tampa like I look at any other game and that's with cautious optimism. We could get blown out, we could blow them out, win a tight game, or lose a tight game. I really don't have a clue. However, a couple of questions I have is...

JETS SUCK 2025 EDITION (OFFICIAL): DIVINE INTERVENTION DENIED

I'll never forget the 7th Game of the 1967 World Series between the Red Sox and the Cardinals. Of all days, I was attending my best friend's wedding that day. As the wedding reception was being held, a few of us (including the band) had AM Radios and had the game on so we would know the...

OT: Players you forget were Patriots

I saw Plunkett play at Shaeffer Stadium in his rookie year - Also WR Randy Vataha . Plunkett throwing a long pass to Vataha was a thing of beauty. I can't believe Randy is now 76 Years old. Yikes! LOL

The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

"How about we all agree to disagree and STFU about it. The freakin' 2025 Pats are in first place in the AFCE and as of today, the road to the division goes thru fekkin' Foxboro like it should." I agree with everything you said Steve and this will be my first and last post on this thread...

Today In Patriots History Oct 2, 1988: Flutie comes off bench, rallies Pats to 4th quarter comeback win vs Colts

I was at that game! I will never forget it. All game the wind was blowing straight out. The Pats were 123 Punt as Eason was being Eason. When Flutie began to warm up on the sidelines the crowd went wild. Then when Flutie went into the game it was like divine intervention as the wind died...

JETS SUCK 2025 EDITION (OFFICIAL): DIVINE INTERVENTION DENIED

Somehow I missed this new Jete Thread when it first came out on the 17th and I just read and laughed my way all the way through it today! OUTSTANDING JOB AND LMAO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANNOUNCEMENT A quick note about illegal streaming channels/sites/links

I'm back with the NFL Package with YTTV this year. But I have to laugh at the timing of this thread. Because the NFL Regular Season Package doesn't include preseason and I live in NC, so I'm getting the Panthers on the NFL Channel. Whoopdedoo! I didn't want to wait for the rerun of the Pats...

    Your first game at Fenway?

You mentioned Jim Longborg and I remember the "Impossible Dream" Season of 1967 when he pitched the last must win game of the season that the Sox won. I think we still needed Detroit to lose later that night in order to get to the WS and they did. What a season that was! From that point...

    Your first game at Fenway?

It was a weekday game in the summer of 1961 and I got to see Carl Yastrzemski play during his Rookie Season. I was only 15 at the time and my boss took me and a couple of other kids to the game. I remember we could sit at almost any seats we wanted to because there were so few people at the...

Favorite Forgotten Pats Heroes From The Past

I remember a game when the Pats were playing the Jets and Tim Fox happened to be playing on special teams. Anyhow, the Pat's punted and the Jet's player clearly put up a fair catch signal. Tim Fox must have not seen the signal and hit the Jets player at full speed consequently knocking him...

Today In Patriots History June 7, 2012: End of the OchoCinco Error

This picture of **** Macpherson reminds me of how he seemed to be the equivalent of "Mary Poppins" compared to the grouchy Rod Rust. LOL BTW, I love the history you guys post!

Today In Patriots History May 27: Happy Birthday to Tony Collins

Thanks for posting Patriots History JMT. Reading about Marquise Hill brought back some scary memories for me. Back in my early 40's my wife and I were vacationing in the Bahamas. I met a couple of young guys from MA on the beach and they had rented a small sail boat and asked me if I wanted...

Today In Patriots History Feb 5, 2017: 28 to 3

IMO, 28-3 is forever locked in my memory as the most exciting game and roller coaster ride of emotion in Patriot History. As time was running out, there were so many individual plays that won the game of which if any of them had failed, the game would have been lost. The Edelman catch gave me...

OT: 1976 Patriots - The Birth of a Contender

"Funny thing is Patriots destroyed the Raiders in the regular season that same season. Oakland needed all the help they could get. It really was one of the worst calls ever and I have no sympathy for any Raider fan regarding the tuck rule if they are oblivious to the Hamilton call." I was at...
