    2026 schedule

While I might get killed for saying this, but I think this team is better suited to play in warm or 'climate-controlled' conditions. One trait that sets Maye apart from his competition is his deepball accuracy. You add winter elements and that advantage is reduced. And yes, I realize the two...

    2026 schedule

I bet when the dust settles it will ultimately be 'a normal schedule' but it only looks hard because 2025 was historically bad. Let's put it this way, SIX of our games were against teams in the top 6 of the draft order!

Patriots Rumor A.J. Brown trade rumors heat up - Should Patriots get him?

My red flag is that he has been a disgruntled distraction on a team that is winning and even got him a Super Bowl ring. I can buy into a guy potentially 'falling in line' if he is going from a bad situation to a Super Bowl contender (ala Corey Dillon in 2004).

Patriots Rumor A.J. Brown trade rumors heat up - Should Patriots get him?

It does seem that some receivers struggled joining the Brady/BB system....think like Ocho Cinco and Joey Galloway. But I recall BB saying Moss was the smartest receiver he's ever been around, so I guess that (and his natural athleticism) explains how he did so well even in his early days with...

Patriots Rumor A.J. Brown trade rumors heat up - Should Patriots get him?

My knee-jerk fan reaction is 'of course, get him. The more weapons the better for Maye' But then the sensible side of me sinks in...... 1.) Unless he agrees to a restructure, he would likely come with larger price tag (and receiver isn't our greatest need) 2.) We've already seen that he can be...

Patriots Rumor The pending UFA: who do we keep? Who walks?

Would like to see Tonga and Chaisson back, but the reality is that our list of free agents really isn't that bad. While I don't want to lose these players, I suspect we'd be able to get a comparable replacement if they did walk.

NFL News OT: Tyreek Hill released

Whenever someone likes this it's fun to think dream of the perfect scenario (like bringing on Moss in 2007), but what's more likely is that he just becomes a headache and divisive in the locker room. I say 'let's pass'

Amazing Stat about the playoff run

Agreed, we saw that Milton Williams and Robert Spillane are difference makers who missed time at the end of the regular season

Amazing Stat about the playoff run

Count me in the camp of 'average offense' wins the Super Bowl. The defense battled and battled despite the offense literally giving them zero rest. It was only after that turnover when they showed the shot of the defense on the sideline wtih a reaction like 'c'mon man, what more can we do...

X's & O's Seahawks had a tell on Patriots offense in Super Bowl, defender claims

I recall BB saying there was a Ravens offensive lineman that would unintentionally tip them off as to whether it was a run or pass. He said they were all disappointed when he was inactive for one of the games.

X's & O's Seahawks had a tell on Patriots offense in Super Bowl, defender claims

If this is true then it's very disappointing. I recall watching some 'behind the scenes video' and the Patriots not only have coaches that review their upcoming opponents but they also have coaches scout their own team to see what patterns or tendencies other teams might pick up on.....a...

Amazing Stat about the playoff run

This truly is an amazing stat, but this one sticks out to me…. In four playoff games (against playoff-worthy opponents), the Patriots defense gave up a grand total of 3 offensive touchdowns and scored one of their own (Marcus Jones) but should have been two if the ref didn’t blow the whistle in...

    Humor me...

I wouldn't say Brady personally struggled. He led the league in touchdown passes. It was the defense that was atrocious. Opponents ran for over 200 yards at least four times. THe D just wasn't very good

    Appreciation for the defense

Right, our defense was a TREMENDOUS!!!! and I can't say that enough I'll be honest. I was a Patriots 'excuse maker' for the offense. Slow game against San Diego....well, it was Maye's first playoff game. He still did enough to win....so yeah! No worries, offense will get it going the next...

    Humor me...

I don't think you'll learn much from this thread........even if the overwhelming majority of people say Tom Brady could have won that game. The reality is that only Tom Brady is TOM FRICKING BRADY! He's regarded as the GOAT for a reason. It would be tough to expect anyone to be up to his...

NFL News Adam Vinatieri makes HoF

Good for Adam. He played for a long time and made some CLUTCH kicks along the way. If any kicker deserves to get in, it's him.

Patriots Rumor Once and for all... [Malcolm Butler benching revisited]

This is so true. I've even thought about it from this perspective... For arguments sake let's imagine the reason for the benching was 'conduct detrimental to the team' whether it be missing meetings, fight with Steve B., anything like that....now Belichick is faced with this dilemma -Ok...

    Super Bowl song fun

Alright, I might be part of the older crowd on here so AI isn’t really my thing….but my kids showed me an app in which you can type lyrics and the app will generate a song. We’ll, I’m certainly no musician but I gave it a shot and made a Super Bowl song. I’m going to play it at my party on...

Shocking - This was not the year to face the Patriots if you were a Coach..

When Jon Harbaugh and Mike Tomlin are 'fired or leave' you just know it's a 'weird year'. Sure, I wouldn't be surprised if 'in general' this was the most coaching changes from season to season.

Once and for all... [Malcolm Butler pick revisited]

Quick sidetrack but..........has anyone actually seen some good footage of how close Hightower was to knocking the ball out of Butler's hands. I'm pretty sure he really just wanted him to 'get down' but I've seen a clip that shows him 'close to knocking it out' and then the clip just starts...
