NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

All 4 are young, potentially ascending players. Would you trade any of them (assuming contracts were the same) straight up for Newton? With the exception of possibly Stidham, the answer would be a definitive no.

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

You're using a single season 2 years ago as your only data point of reference. You'd "have to be an idiot to do that".

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

You're simply trying to take one year out of nine as evidence of what you think he is. I am taking the entire nine year career as my evidence. In other words, you're cherry-picking, because you are 100% aware Cam Newton is not a good NFL passer.

To say Cam Newton is an inaccurate QB is not "torturing statistics". It is a statement of fact.

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

Once again....for the umpteenth time....because he is entering an age where pure athleticism starts to fade, meaning as a QB he will more than likely have to start relying on his arm more than his legs. His arm has proven awful for the significant majority of his career.

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

Where would 59% have put him in the QB rankings for 2019? Answer: Bottom 3 Now realize this is career avg (despite the 1 good passing season these tools want to reference). It's awful.

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

Ignorance would be saying a 31 year old QB who completed less than 60% of his passes in 6 of his 9 seasons would automatically be the best QB in the East.

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

Now we're taking single seasons over a career's worth of evidence. Keep it coming...this is getting good.

Yes, Brady had a relatively poor season last year, and if he had played worse than that for his entire career, he wouldn't be Tom Brady. He'd be Cam Newton as a passer.

Don't care about all time as the league has changed drastically. Tell me where he ranks relative to his peers now. I already know Brady's. I looked it up in a previous thread to see how much it dropped last year. He's around 64%. That is a massive difference.

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

I believe I said he is now 31, which means the best days of using his legs are behind him. Combine that with the fact that he has not been very good at passing the football in his career, and it is not very difficult to understand why he's unemployed. He is inaccurate, now coming off injury...

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

He's a 59% career passer. 59% sucks. He sucks as a passer, and he is getting older meaning he will be less effective as a runner. Not complicated.

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

I'm making up that 31 year old NFL players don't run as well as their 22 year old selves? Really? Once again...he's a 59% passer for his career. 59% is bad. If my arguments are bad, why isn't he on a roster?
  14. I

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

You keep using snippets in time as evidence for something. Let me make it simple for you: He is a career 59% passer. A 59% completion percentage is bad. Bad is the opposite of good. He is now 31. NFL players don't run as well at 31 as they did when they were younger. I don't want to go...

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

No two candidates are ever equal. It's a moronic thing to say.

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

You're using as evidence "the second best passing season" of a guy who isn't a very good passer. That is the definition of "intellectually bankrupt". Jordan Richards had the best season of his career last year. Maybe we should sign him up using your wonderful logic, which is definitely not...

NFL to propose to improve a team's draft position if it hires a person of color as HC or GM

So you're admitting you only "think" this going on, but you have no evidence it actually is going on. Do you often get your panties in a wad over your "thoughts"?
