PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP Training Camp Day 7 - July 30

It's Hail Mary's EVERY down - damn the percentages man we're going deep from downtown!

PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP Training Camp Day 7 - July 30

Or the coaching staff merely wanted a guy Maye was most comfortable with at center today. Or the offensive staff know what they have with Strange and wanted to see more reps with Wilson. Or they wanted a day with Brown with the ones because HE'S on the bubble after Wilson's showing so far. There...

PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP Training Camp Day 6 - July 29

Apparently multi-syllable last names needs to be a consideration.

DT Khyris Tonga got Garrett Bradbury twice. I dont recall Tonga being known for his pass rushing prowess. The Vikes let this guy go for a reason.

    PATRIOTS NEWS Minicamp

Isn't that the Crimson Avenger from that (not) New Avengers movie?

    PATRIOTS NEWS Minicamp

Agree. The pads. The pressure. The contact. Just three things (amongst others) that seriously alter the dynamic. Playing catch is not playing football.

    PATRIOTS NEWS OTA's

There's going to be other variables. Injuries. Trades. Signings. Too early to judge.

    PATRIOTS NEWS OTA's

One factor we are not considering is the new system and familiarity by each unit within it. It's team wide this year. Sure that occurs to teams each year with the heavy turnover, there are usually holdovers that can ease the transition. This year it's the whole team. I dont want to predict how...

    Patriots 2025 UDFA list

Almost all won't. We are in the common media hype stage of the season. Mini-camps and OTAs are not meant for external evaluation because they are about fundamentals, team integration, and scheme fit. All aspects which dont translate as well to "how will this guy perform in game...

My hopes for the Upcoming season:

My only expectation and hope? 1/10th the number of dead ball procedure and poorly timed holding fouls by the OL. That alone will immeasurably improve this offense. How many 2d and 5s became 2d and 15s? How many 1st and 20s? Huge momentum changing plays called back? This one change alone would...

I Don't Think That Vrabel Will Draft Hunter At 4

With Brady. His offenses without Brady have not been as option route heavy/all WRs must read the defense the same as the QB and adjust accordingly.

    Caedan Wallace?

It's about the miserables that if a drafted player doesn't perform at a starter (or above) level from day one they should be completely discarded. Two seasons minimum should be allowed to see if a draft pick has potential to be an NFL player (OL especially given the vast majority are drafted late).

What’s our plan at Wide Receiver?

Probably a tariff on them now too - end up costing the patriots a pick on draft day.

Tetairoa McMillan runs a 4.48-4.55 at Pro Day

Sure, that's well known by everyone. That's why the drafts are such a sure thing right because every player's future is already set based on their pro days and the combine, etc, etc, etc.

Player Signing Patriots sign Center Garrett Bradbury

The OL aspect just behind talent is continuity (best obtained by being healthy!) The Patriots have trotted out an average of five to six different OL lineups per season the last four years - mostly due to availability! OLs with no continuity can't operate as a unit, are easily disrupted by...

What’s our plan at Wide Receiver?

My take on this is the reverse Mamula Principle. In other words, the same that statistics can be a great tool in evaluating talent, it should never be the only evaluation metric. Guys get over drafted based solely on some aspect of their combine (speed being a common one) results all the time...

Player Signing Pats sign Raiders edge rusher K'Lavon Chaisson

And honestly most didn't work out, but the few that did were worth the extremely low risk in the attempt. I'm a big fan of a low risk volume approach before camp - the draft is such a crap shoot that teams should always bolster the odds simply in volume on veterans that may be a better scheme fit.

Player Signing Pats sign Raiders edge rusher K'Lavon Chaisson

It's the same in most bars looking for future life partners...or so I've heard...

Player Signing OLB Harold Landry signing with Patriots

It can't be overemphasized enough how critical having two players that can set an edge and are productive against the run. No more 17 straight runs as a strategy against the Patriots. A good defense makes the other offense one dimensional. A great defense makes the other offense make...
