I have the tingly feeling that our base defense next year may be the big nickel. We have a lot of size in our secondary. I know Vader has failed with this defense before but tt's the type of defense that can stop both the Ravens and the Chiefs. We may need only one more linebacker.

I remember comments about the team being high on Zusevics last year. Zusevics, McDonald, and Cannon should all provide some position flexibility. Svitek may be fighting for a job on the roster.

Welker's market value wont be as big as he believes next year. I say there is a good chance he stays a Patriot once he tests it.

Branch is just not a good complementary receiver to Welker and Hernandez. We need someone who can beat press coverage and/or get deep. Hopefully he will take back-up to stay.

I think Connolly is a better center but Wendell does a better job against the bull rush. If the Broncos start getting pressure up the middle I can see Connolly getting replaced.

Smith will be 32 years old if the season starts on time. Speed Receivers don't age that well. Randy Moss is a good example of that.
