    What's up with Welker?

Yeah, I agree. I think #83 will be out there and ready to go. Is it Monday yet? :D

    What's up with Welker?

I haven't heard anything substantial but I can't believe it's anything serious. After all, they released Greg Lewis and sent Terrence Nunn to the practice squad. If Welker was going to be out for any extended period of time, I'd would think the Pats would have added an extra receiver (or two).

    Reiss: Nunn cut

He was definitely one of my binkys. I was pulling for him to make the 53-man roster. Too bad.

Eagles: Michael Vick signed to 2 year deal ($1.6 million for 2009)

Re: Eagles: Michael Vick signed to 2 year deal (ESPN) Yeah, I agree. I think the guy has a right to play. But I did not want to see him in New England.

Ex-Lion Paris Lenon plans to deliver hits, wins

    Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Poll: Which tight ends make the final 53?

Did not know that. Thanks for the info.

Poll: Which tight ends make the final 53?

Didn't Kyle Brady play for the Jags before coming to the Pats?

In his second camp, Wilhite makes a good impression

Great article. I've been reading a lot of positive stuff about Wilhite in Reiss' blog and in PFW. Is it unrealistic to consider that he might break the starting lineup by mid-season? I love the acquisitions of Springs and Bodden, but the youth movement is the Patriots future. Anyway, good...

Guesstimate how long Tommy will be playing Thursday night

I think he'll play two or three series, then sit. I doubt Bill will play him an entire quarter. Not in the first preseason game.

Shula: "What's (Bill) Belichick got?" About a hundred?"

Yeah, but how many Super Bowl rings does Shula have? Not as many as Bill. When it counts the most, Belichick has more wins.

Patriots Player Departure Hobbs traded to Philadelphia [mergedx2]

To be expected, I guess. Pats had a logjam at CB and by trading Hobbs, freed up over $2M in cap space. He always played with a lot of heart, but just wasn't a starting caliber corner.

Any word on the Meriweather injury?

Re: Any word on the Merriweather injury? This is all that was on Reiss' blog: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2008/08/meriweather_upd_1.html Where did you hear about the MCL sprain, letekro?

First Injury Report of the Preseason

LOL Some things never change. Brady's been on the injury report how long now? Three, four years?

Updated: Walsh now meeting with Goodell

Re: Goodell says nothing new from Matt Walsh!!!! Senator Sphincter can whine all he chooses. The commish has spoken. Hopefully this is the end of this "spygate" garbage once and for all. It's time to get ready for a new season.

What will be our record in 2008?

Undefeated in February is the only stat I care about. Pats might lose a game or two in the regular season....I doubt more than that, though.

Jets Fans: Pitiful morons or Deplorable scum

I voted "deplorable scum" but I've seen a few that probably qualify as "pitiful morons," too. Does it have to be either/or?

    PatsFans.com Roll Call

From: Portland, ME Not a season ticket holder. Unfortunately. Pats fan since the mid-80's. Saw my first game at Gillette this past December when the Pats hosted the Jests in some really nasty weather. Planning on making it back down again this fall for a Sept/Oct game instead. LOL

    2008 Patriots: 6-10

Put down the bong and get ahold of yourself. We're one day into free agency. The draft is coming up in a few weeks. Patriots will put together a solid team; they always do. It's a long way to training camp.
