Bielsa and Leeds have not actually broken any rules though, it’s more unsporting than it is illegal in soccer. Personally it’s a lot of whining over very little as it’s not a set piece sport so it’s hard to gain too much advantage.

Just watched a the replays, that surely proves there can’t be a non controversial catch rule. So pick a rule and sick to it, maybe the current one is right?.

Rules need to be clear, the only change I would like that would clear up the Pittsburg game is “if the ball hits the ground at all in the process of catching, it’s not a catch.” That is simple and fair plus that’s what we think of as the catch rule as kids playing in parks.

Am I alone in liking both this and the fumble out the end zone rules? Everything is so focused on offence, a touchdown should be tough to get, if you don’t have control of the ball you don’t deserve a touchdown. If you fumble the ball into the end zone you deserve to lose possession...
