David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports
Former New England Patriots wide receiver took to social media on Tuesday to reflect back upon the one-year anniversary of his decision to retire from the NFL after 12 seasons in Foxboro.
Over Instagram, Edelman re-shared a still photo from the original video announcement from April 12th, 2021.
“1. Year #FoxboroForever”, Edelman wrote in an accompanying caption.
Despite the recent call for a reunion in Tampa from old teammate Rob Gronkowski and an April Fools joke. Edelman has held firm that his football playing days are over.
In fact, Edelman’s second career working in sports media is off to a very successful start as a panelist on Showtime’s “Inside The NFL”.
On April 6th Edelman was named a nominee for a 2022 Sports Emmy Award in the “emerging sports talent” category.
