    Contract negotiator for the Patriots

I totally understand how practical it is to be away on a scouting trip while maintaining contract administration functions and I probably didn't preface my question clearly. I'm not suggesting that Cesario couldn't be the contract lead simply because he was away but the fact they are away made...

    Contract negotiator for the Patriots

Yes, I'm quite sure Bill is kept in the loop and has final say but I'm assuming he is not the actual lead. Maybe he is but curious if anyone is aware of someone else...Miguel?

    Contract negotiator for the Patriots

With Bill Belichick and Nick Caserio away and this week being the final week before free agency, I was curious who is the contracts lead for the Patriots. I know Floyd Reese had that part of this job description when he was here but I'm not aware of anyone that has a similar title and Michael...

Would Reggie Bush Fit With the Patriots? (Sign the Beast VII)

I'm not dismissing the importance of the 3rd down back but I just don't believe the Patriots are going to match what other teams are going to pay. And I'm sure Brady would have liked to have kept Mankins last year but he doesn't make personnel decisions.

Would Reggie Bush Fit With the Patriots? (Sign the Beast VII)

Regardless of what happens to Vereen, I don't see Bush here. Wrong side of 30, injury history and I doubt the Patriots would offer anything close to what some other team will. Tyler Gaffney and James White - unproven, potential, cheap, young. I'm looking forward to seeing them on Sundays.

    Ridley

I like Ridley but I don't think he will be a priority for the Patriots. Unless the market is low for him, I doubt the Patriots match any offers. Blount's contract is pretty low and I can't see them offering even that amount to him. I think something similar can be said for Vereen. If someone...

.....And Now Florio Trying To CYA On Possibility It Was The Colts

I would agree with you except that the league has fallen on its own sword. The attempts to leak damaging information implicating the Patriots has been met with not only refuted reports but ones that clearly put the league in the crossfire. Had these reports not been leaked, it would have been...

.....And Now Florio Trying To CYA On Possibility It Was The Colts

While I would argue that the Kravtiz report is what set everything off, the Mortenson report caused it to explode and prompted the judgements and press conferences and the reports that contradicted Mortenson's were not met with revised judgements from those already determining guilt. As far as...

So... the NFL lied. It WAS a sting operation.

Why would the league have interviewed Baltimore players regarding this investigation? Don't give up on your theory just yet.

So... the NFL lied. It WAS a sting operation.

Interesting. I did not know that Ravens were interviewed regarding the investigation. When did Harbaugh disclose this? Why hasn't the press been all over this (Oh wait... I was thinking they are critical reporters and analysts of facts...strike that). I would say your hunch has merit. Why would...

So... the NFL lied. It WAS a sting operation.

Does anyone know or heard of the basis on which Grigson notified the league of their concerns about the footballs before the game. Given that the league stated that the results and facts will be made public at the conclusion of the Wells investigation, I would expect to find out who Grigson...

2/18/2015: Schefter Blows Up ESPN's Earlier Story

Very! Who did Grigson alert at the NFL office. Was that not asked of him? Did he leave a message on the main line during after work hours? So Blandino says he wasn't aware of this and the officials did not record the PSI levels before the game. This would be consistent with typical practices...

So... the NFL lied. It WAS a sting operation.

Not so sure about that. Kraft is the Chairman of the Broadcast Committee so I think its reasonable to assume that he was more responsible than Goodell for negotiating these deals. Plus Kraft has demonstrated already (business and union) his negotiating skills.

    an interesting network contradiction.....

Here is a quote from the ESPN piece: "The alternate official, Greg Yette, became suspicious when he noticed that the football McNally handed him did not have the proper markings on it, three sources said. One of those sources added that Yette found it surprising that the officials' locker room...

2/17 Rumor: Pats' locker room attendant tried to put unapproved kicking ball in AFCCG

I read the article to mean the locker room attendant gave the official in charge of special teams footballs an unapproved football (the ball didn't have a k on it). So this ball would have been used for special teams play, not a play run by Brady. Not really sure how this is relevant to the...

Great view of last 5 min of SB and some Very stupid, bitter 12th men

Great video. Regarding the Seahawks fan post, its interesting but not surprising given the reaction to Deflated footballs that this guy didn't really know the details of Spygate other than it was some form of "signal stealing". So his starting point is "Belichick's history" which is then what...

    The Defensive Front Seven

The interior pass rush is the obvious area for improvement but I don't see a DT drafted at 32 being the answer. The big bodies generally aren't pass rushers and if they are, none of them are around at 32. I think improving the 3rd down pass rush with specific skill sets is a better starting...

    Not for nothin' but.....

Ken, I understand what you're writing about here but as we all know, the pick or rub or shield is a grey area and after watching the replay, Browner initiated contact immediately at the snap and while Kearse was then attempting to head up field while still engaging Browner, his head was turning...

Tim Hasselback :Peyton Manning still the greatest QB of all time.

I think Kevin Costner should have asked Bo Callahan in Draft Day: "Bo, whose career would you rather have, Peyton's or Tom's?" And if Peyton is the answer then thanks for playing, good luck with your career cause we're looking for winners.
