Just to add to that - most of the tickets you would see on the exchange in the days leading up to the game were "returns" from the visiting team. Not all, but most that you might see in the 324/325 area, which is where i've sat a dozen times off the ticket exchange.

There are a fair number of tickets total. Definitely in the thousands when spread across all 8 games. If you're in within 5 or 10 minutes of getting the email, you will usually get tickets to SOME game. If you're on perfectly as it arrives, you will usually get tickets to the top-tier games...

The whole point of RFID is to track location. It serves almost no other purpose. It's not a very secure format unless its paired with another form of security like an RSA token. It will be tracked, and it will be used, most likely for not-terribly-sinister purposes like beer vendor placement...
