    Overstating the Obvious

Except for the OL, only 1 person was a starter in both 2011 and 2014. So no you are wrong. If the results are the same you can't just say they sucked in 2011 they are going to suck in 2014. The players are not the same.

    Overstating the Obvious

No I do disagree. I just looked at 2011 SB roster compared with today's. Of those 17 total players remain. I would also say that of those 17 only 10 were major contributors to both that season and this season (I therefore excluded Ridley (IR), Edelman (backup in 2011), all the OL except Vollmer...

    Overstating the Obvious

2007 and 2011 are completely irrelevant to this year's team in terms of personnel and whether they can handle a "Giants-like" team or not. Coaching may be relevant, but you'd think at this point the coaches can come up with a plan to handle those types of teams it's a matter of the players...

    Overstating the Obvious

No, I think it's ridiculous to read too much into a single game (whether the SEA game or the Patriots game) for all the reasons others have mentioned already. People apparently forget the Patriots actually lost games back in 01, 03 and 04. Seahawks are playing great but they're also clobbered...

    Overstating the Obvious

I'd kill to have seen what you whiners were thinking prior to the SB with the Rams. As they say "That's Why They Play the Game". Let's get to the SB first before we hand the trophy over the the Seahawks

    Seahawks look scary

I think it's clear SEA is the class of the NFC at the moment, but let's also not overrate this win considering Arizona is on their 3rd string quarterback. Seattle SHOULD blow them out frankly. Arizona are the definition of a paper tiger (with a bit of it due to the injuries).

Jets GM Caserio & Jets HC McDaniels?

Just stop passing along baloney. Other than the flaming dumpster fire Raiders is any other team that will be looking for a HC as in bad shape as the Jets? They have a good DL and that's basically it. Why would a GM/HC want to go there if they have other options?

    That game was sickening

Don't post often, but thought enough of this thread to say GFY

    Josh McDaniels

Its hillarious how with every OC, there is a vocal minority that loves to kill the guy. Was McDaniels' tenure at Denver, uneven/rocky? Sure, but people seem to forget BB also had his ups and downs prior to coming to NE. I don't see what McDaniels' won't continue to grow and improve as a coach...

Patriots biggest draft blunder in the last 5 years?

Hey guys, am I too late for the chicken little ***********? Ok in all seriousness, there is no doubt patriots have missed on some draft picks (like all teams). How come no one though mentions any UFDA's that contribute? Patriots must have one of the better track records of finding hidden gems...

Can we talk about Joe Vellano and Chris Jones for a second

One play that sticks out in my mind was in the 3rd or 4th quarter, there was a screen/short pass to Sproles on third down and Jones while initially stood up but he spun around and chased down Sproles short of the first down. It showed great hustle and awareness for a rookie. I was impressed.

    Some personal news

I don't post often, but frequently read the boards for several years. You are one of my favorite posters, and it comes through that you are a great guy. My deepest condolences to you and your family. If you were to set up a fund or charity donation, please let us know I'd love to donate.

After this draft... Who loses their starting job? Who gets cut?

Basically agree, but I think people still way underrate Ninkovich. He'll get a significant amount of playing time this year still.

Eagles put CB Samuel on trading block....

You're about a week early for an April fool's joke.

The Sanctioned FA 4PM Tracker Thread (merged)

Anyone else notice that its the bad teams giving out ridiculous contracts right now? Bills (well if someone would take their money), Redskins, Detroit (love Calvin Johnson but that's crazy money), Tampa, etc. Sit tight boys, let BB do his thing as he laughs at the above losers.

    Rappaport to NFL network

Amazing how many reporters (and ex-athletes) from the area move onto the national stage (ESPN, NFLN, etc). There are only so many spots and you don't see nearly as many it feels like from other markets.

    Super Bowl Menu's

Just got a smoker. So have 2 chickens in there now and doing a Brisket early tomorrow. Everything else on the menu is irrelevant.
  18. R

Is it a good thing to let up a deep pass early on?

This board really needs a Dislike button.
  19. R

    Ravens' fans - Excuses.

I don't blame them for dwelling on the game because the season is over for their team, but why should Patriots fans care about this at this point? The game is over and have moved onto the SB.
  20. R

    Terrell Suggs

You quoted a post from 5 YEARS AGO. Ty Warren is out of the league (or on IR, can't recall) and hasn't done much the last couple of years. I'm pretty sure patfanken and anyone else now would've preferred Suggs given all that.
