Patriots Injury News TE Julian Hill placed on IR (Vrabel confirms he's lost for 2026)

The Rams have a lot of TE's both old and young: we should try to pouch one. Their TE's package was very effective last year both running passing.

Nah - I don't think you risk injury for a needed backup LT and RT in training with a blocking TE assignment. Crownover would be my first choice among the linemen to put out there in that situation, especially since he's played TE before.
You can't put players in bubble wrap. Also you can only dress 48 players for game day, presumably Lomu will be your backup tackle. Get that guy as many reps and snaps you can. Crownover hasn't even made the team yet, he might end up on the practice squad.

Dippre has been a PS Player for a reason.
David Andrews, Malcolm Butler, Jonathan Jones and Troy Brown were all practice squad players at one point. That's one of the silliest arguments I've heard.

Dippre was quickly moved up to the 53 man roster last season when another team tried poaching him. He made the roster and played in two games. If he has busted his tail this offseason he is massive, strong and has the athleticism you look for in a blocking TE.

Ok Woz: don't put Dippre in Canton MA until we hear or see more.

I think you mean UFA.

I know the first three were never on the practice squad, unless you're counting at the end of Butler's career.

Saying he might develop into a player is a world of difference from saying he sucks because he’s on the practice squad… give me a break.

I misremembered

Never said that Woz: I really liked Dippre coming out: surprised how quiet he was last TC. I mean even lowly Jack Westover got a lot of playing time over him last year. Let's hope Dippre doesn't look like Tarzan and plays like Jane.

You responded to me responding to someone who implied it.

Westover is a FB, Dippre is a TE. They needed a starting FB last year not a TE… the two aren’t related.

Is FB Brock Lampe still around??

Lampe is still here he reminds me of Sam Gash.

Barring injury he’ll be here until roster cuts.

They have a bonafied FB now.

They need TE’s to contribute, FB’s less so.

I think there's more to Lampe: the Defense can't cover everybody. I think FB Brock Lampe will be one of our better Blockers who can catch some. Gilliam offer nothing in the passing game too one dimensional.

Lampe is the Bam Childress of FB’s.

Need to check in with the Rams TEs. They’re likely not gonna be able to keep all of them:
Tyler Higbee
Terrance Ferguson
Colby Parkinson
Max Klare
Davis Allen
Dan Villari
