Patriots Injury News TE Julian Hill placed on IR (Vrabel confirms he's lost for 2026)

Dippre might be the better option at blocking TE, but now they really need Raridon to contribute this year.

Ouch!! How much of that 26 salary is guaranteed?

My dream of drafting 2 TEs in this past draft looks even more important now.
Lot of really interesting TEs picked very late in the draft, or ended up as UDFA on other teams...ugh.

This actually hurts quite a bit. I was really hoping AVT, Hill, and Gilliam would be on the field in red zone, goal line, and short yardage and turn that from a weakness last year to a strength this year. Here’s hoping for good health for the other 2.

Not gonna lie…This news just decreased my excitement from the AJ Brown trade from about a 2,000 to a 1,999….

Hill was one of the better blocking TEs in the league last year and has stated his NFL goal is to be the best blocking TE. Dippre has done nothing.

Hill was playing max snaps because the Dolphins TE room was abominable. He might be a decent blocker the way Austin Hooper was good, but the kid isn’t a road grader.

It sucks, it would have been nice to be really deep at TE, but now the onus is on the coaches to get the two young guys involved.

Unfortunately, this had to happen in order for Eli ****ing Raridon to fulfill his prophecy as the future baby GOAT TE..

Agree that their overall TE situation wasn’t good, but he really did improve as a run blocker and pass blocker last year. I think you’re underselling him by comparing him to Hooper on that front. Agree he’s not Gronk, Dwayne Allen or Daniel Graham in that role, but he would have been a step up from what we had last year.

Moot point right now, we’ll have to see what the injury was to see if he’s able to come back in 2027. Agree with you that hopefully the coaches will get Raridon up to speed and hopefully Dippre can make a 2nd year jump.

That news sucks in such an important day, f that

Hooper was a good player, he made two pro bowls in the past. Hill was a nice security blanket signing after losing Hooper. The first and second year guys need to be ready.

Phil is saying it’s potentially not season ending.

They didn't put the DTR tag on him.
Unless they do it retroactively somehow, his season's over.
