DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2026 NFL Draft Day 3

In case the NFL forgot... Garrett Nussmeier is still on the board. Shocking. 6 QBs have gone ahead of him.

I kind of want him to go 199 just for the meme potential.

For what I fear will be the 20th straight year I've successfully predicted that there were specific Player(s) who was there on Days 2&3 that the Pats passed on, will sadly prove me right again. Specifically, RB Adam Randall was right there to be had and they take a DB who doesn't even have a Pic or Draft Profile whatsoever. Randall could have been a solid KR as a Rookie with high upside as a Primary RB in his 2nd Season and beyond. I'm really disappointed, though it's just this kind of move that I predicted would happen. Why take a more than likely PS JAG over a guy that could've helped you as a KR as a Rookie, with the upside of being much more? Is Bill running this Draft? And Baltimore took him. Watch him be a BEAST there.

RB was a NEED!!! We have only Stevenson and Henderson (Gilliam is strictly a Lead-Blocking FB). If either of the 1st two go down, is the plan to keep elevating PS Jags for our RB Corps? And don't tell me Larison is the answer. We passed on Williams Jr., Singleton, and now Randall. This will come back to hurt us more than most think.

But it just doesn't. It fills a need and they had him in on a 30 visit. Its not a flyer. The know him. The 5th round is perfect on a guy like this.
I would have preferred Randall, Allen..etc, and save Prutny for one of our 6ths.
I will be cheering for him to make the team and prove me wrong.

20 years in a row, huh?

Impressive. You should get a job with with an NFL team with that kind of track record.

Dolphins picked Kevin Coleman Jr. at #177. He was another guy I liked. He was picked 102 slots after Miami picked Caleb Douglas and I expect he'll be the far better player. They also drafted Chris Bell. Dolphins having a nice day. 10 picks made, 3 still left to go.
They've taken 3 WRs.
Seems like a lot considering the whole roster is laden with holes.

Jack Endries and Deion Burks both falling is a surprise to me.

I think Wolf is TERRIBLE. Vrabel's guys saved his @$$. With Vrabel being away today, I'm blaming Wolf for the Prunty selection.

"Damn it Eliott, I said take Prunty with our last pick, not our next pick!!!"

Are you laying on the floor kicking and screaming with a full diaper too?

Yup, what is going on with Burks?
I thought Allen was a poor man's Burks and Burks would go 2-3 rd earlier than him.

A Brit just got drafted. Nice. To the Dolphins. Traitor!

Its a luxury they can afford....They have 13 picks!

They had inside info on him,I think that's why he was selected. The coach who recutid him in college is on the pats staff
Can't remember his name

Well then i am sad we didn't pick him if he is going to be so good. Good job with your predictions.

Good question. I’ve noticed that Pro Day numbers are a bit better than Combine numbers. Not sure why.
It’s a bunch of scouts crowding around the 40 line with handheld timers comparing notes on hundreds of a second.
The difference between a 4.3 and 4.5 is enormous in a draft guide and human variation with handheld timers.

The 6th round starts. Time to eat!

Scraps are a little meager though.
