We drafted him with the #55 overall pick of the 2nd round.

The 6'4 260 lb EDGE player will hopefully Inject some NASTY in our defense.

Gabe Jacas is an excellent athlete with a 9.59 RAS.

He also produced notably for Illinois with 27 career sacks.

Please give him a warm welcome!

I love that this guy is a wrestler -- tenacious and highly athletic. Great physical flexibility combined with strength.

ESPN Pro comparison is Brian Orakpo

Give me that all day every day
NFL.com comparison is Matthew Judon.

Big win. I would have been happy with Jacas at 31. Getting him AND Lumo is either a brilliant play of the draft board, or the stroke of luck that only winners seem to encounter.

My own comparison is Matt Judon, because he can play off the ball, at least a little bit, he's not exclusively a pass rusher (even though that's what he does best to be sure)

Playing this guy next to Milton Williams, Christian Barmore and Dre’Mont Jones… That’s a lot of power on that DL. They will be able to push around most OLs in the league.

Jacas did not do any "explosiveness" or "agility" testing, so the RAS does not correlate. He might be a great athlete, but the RAS score for an athlete with half the testing skipped is not meaningful.
4.65 40 with a 1.59 split for a guy that's 6'4 260? That's freakish.

THIRTY Bench reps, means he's also strong as an Ox.

Sure It might be useful to see additional numbers but he's got the most important traits.

FAST, STRONG, with Violent Hands.

I think Jacas can turn into a PLUS starter for us at Edge.
