I don't know, it depends what all unfolds. I don't know if he's telling the truth, but it looks like something more than what he said. If he doesn't tell the truth and different facts come out, then it's a bigger problem.

I think it's best for him to just tell the truth, whatever that is. Players, fans, staff will accept an apology. At minimum for putting himself in this situation. We don't know if this goes deeper than that, but it didn't look good

Assertions are being made on this board that Vrabel has destroyed his credibility with the players, and can no longer coach them on important issues like not creating distractions. If those allegations are true he has undermined his ability to do his job as coach, so the team needs to take action.

What action(s) should be taken to punish him?

The same posters predicted that Diggs and Barmore would go to jail. The madness will never stop.
To be more specific - they said that the Pats needed to cut both players ASAP because they would go to jail, and that doing nothing was the same as saying the team approved of this illegal behavior.

Ultimately, literally nothing happened to either player.

Ultimately, literally nothing happened to either player.
And nothing will happen to Vrabel.

Not a damn thing. Look, I'm not going to pretend cheating is a good thing. It's bad. But it's a personal thing. And please, worrying about leaking things to the press in this day and age? Give me a break. That's all the press does in the modern clickbait, headline grabbing, zero fact checking era. There are precious few sources these days that I would remotely trust.

Even the old standards that used to be trustworthy are owned by billionaires who only care about the bottom line and pushing their own personal narratives.

Wtf! One of the stupidest questions I've ever seen here.
Im surprised. Thought you were better than that.

this is still a thing ? the press us making this blow up for whatever reason... wonder where all this vigor was when steve tisch was exposed in the Ep. files...

We should/need to do nothing.

The belichick walk of shame photos were more lurid than vrabel getting overly familiar with a consenting adult at a pool party
I mean, not saying that Vrabel should be fired, but the Russini thing is way more "fireable" than the Belichick thing. The Belichick thing was just funny. Outside of whatever you think about an age difference like that with BB and Hudson, there's no football context to that. With the Vrabel/Russini thing, there's the backdrop of her being a reporter making it inappropriate if they were dating in the minds of many. Though I'd argue it's more Russini who shouldn't be doing that in her role than Vrabel is in his.

So, we're on third wave Boston sports paranoia now? Where we preemptively carry water for the worst parts of anti-Pats society ********?

Can the man coach? That's all I care about.

Kinda over the ****in purity tests. Let's roll Tony Dungy in here since he's so goddamned pure...

Also, don’t worry @n1997y I realize you are posting this sarcastically. I know not everyone realizes that but that kinda makes it more funny…

I should have realized this, too. If I could still edit my post, I would. n1997y is usually a classy and intelligent poster. But I have been surprised before. Glad I wasn't disappointed again.

n1997y, my apologies.

No prob, and thanks for the compliments. I feel I should apologize for giving in to my penchant for stirring **** up.

And I really did want to find out if there was anyone who actually would fire the COTY over such an issue, because the discussion thread about it seems like there really might be. The whole thing has riled some folks up so much. Problem is that I can’t really tell if the two votes for summary execution are serious or in the same spirit as my OP. Ah well, twas fun to see the responses.

The best way to shut the pearl clutchers up is to lie hundreds of times every day, go on delusional rants hour after hour, , rape and murder little girls, start building huge monuments to himself, and destroy everything thing in his path and tell everyone he's making it great. Then they will compare him to ************, buy anything with his name on it, and pray that he remains the coach forever.

Vrabel has spent his whole coaching career calling on a female reporter first in every press conference. He said he does it because they have a tough job in a male dominated environment and he wants to help.

So how does this virtue signaling pay off for Vrabel? The left-wing press tries to paint him as a cheater!

You can't hate the press enough!

BB was right the way he treated the press!
