Russini & Vrabel Nothing to see here?

Damn, y'all are really falling for it.

This is pretty much the issue for me here. In the grand scheme of things the affair on its own isn't what matters to me (as a Patriots fan) it's that it does bring accountability and integrity into question. IMO if I'm a player I'm less likely to take those things seriously when you can't even respect the vow you made to your wife.

And I'm not trying to get into a theology debate here but being Catholic myself, and him being Catholic, this is way more serious of a breach than just any other affair. To put it simply, marriage in the Church is more "permanent" than other people outside of the Church see it. There's no divorce, you're married for life. So this is a serious serious matter, and maybe I'm just hoping against hope that he didn't do this so it doesn't permanently damage his marriage and relationship with his kids
Respectfully, I know a lot of people who were married in the Catholic Church and later got divorced. While the Catholic Church doesn’t recognize divorce; those people are still legally divorced.

I also more than one wealthy Catholic that used their money to help leverage an annulment- the Catholic marriage loophole that frequently has more to do with connections and privilege than the marriage not meeting the sacramental criteria from the start.

An annulment only invalidates a marriage if it wasn't a legitimate one. You can't just cheat on your spouse and get an annulment. As far as the legal vs Church point you can be legally divorced (not like you can hold the other hostage) but the covenant between man and wife in the Church is only broken by death. If there are priests or bishops granting annulments because they're getting paid enough: 1, that is scandalous and you should report it to the Diocese and 2, it doesn't change the covenant man and wife have--God is not so easily fooled

I appreciate you adding to this, and I take no offense. I only mention this to say that if Vrabel and his family are devout Catholics this isn't just a "Oh well we get divorced and find someone else" situation, he legitimately cannot be in a relationship with another woman for the rest of his life (until, you know, his wife dies).

But! I'm not a priest. Just a laydude

Getting " caught" doing what? They were with a group of people, not scurrying out the back door of a motel. I'm sure all the Felger toadies will get completely caught up in the orgies Vrabel and Russini have been conducting, but anyone with a life will say so ****ing what.

I can hardly pick them out of the group of people.

I said it's relevant to Patriots fans, not that the players are staging a grief vigil on the harbor.

'Not relevant in any defensibly rational respect'? News about the Patriots HC is, by definition, relevant to Patriots fans and potentially the team itself. Will it amount to anything? Maybe not. Has Vrabel done anything ethically wrong? Without knowing the nature of his relationship with his wife, we cannot say.

But calling this irrelevant to a Patriots discussion-board is rather absurd. You're more than welcome to not care, but your lack of care doesn't make it irrelevant.
Neither does your pearl-clutching "caring" make it relevant.

I can hardly pick them out of the group of people.

Use common sense! The people are all under the railing and Vrabes and his sweetheart are just standing above them.

Of course they are all plowing away in the orgy Huckleberry is talking about, but that's another matter

Hope this doesn't violate the politics rule

Number of people in this thread that are twisting themselves into preztles, not to call it what it obviously is, is hilarious and pathetic.

Anybody who does not think this is text book cheating, I have a bridge to sell you for a 99% discount. A heck of a deal. The best deal.

The real important question is what Bible verse will Henderson quote about the sins of infidelity?

He may win back a tiny bit of my admiration (TINY) if he got on Twitter and called out his fav Bible verse that describes this infidelity.

Just because it would be hilarious. Something tells me he doesn't have the balls to do it since Vrabel isn't a marginalized person he can make fun of.

He actually should, since Vrabel wanted to go all pedestal about "being educated" maybe he should educate himself on fidelity

I hope if you ever find yourself in a situation where you look bad, people give you the benefit of the doubt you refuse to give others

Hasn’t Vrabel had a relationship with Russini since Tennessee?

Maybe this isn’t news to anyone who knows them?

I know, there should have been at least 20 people standing next to them. Why don't you wait until they get home and go look in their windows?
