2026 Mock Draft Thread

My "Dream" draft.. LOL

I was going to say the first four picks had me salivating but then I had to change it. The first 13 picks had me salivating. The only one I'm not convinced by is Terion Stewart. Love the kid, not sure how he projects.

I don't get you adding 2 DTs and only 1 Edge guy.. The Pats are stacked at DT. I don't see either Proctor or Capehart as upgraded over Farmer, Durden or Taylor..

Waiting until the 7th round for a TE is a mistake.. He's also lacking in the physicality department..
Every position on the team can be upgraded outside of QB.
Proctor is a good upfield penetrator, and Capehart is a space eater, completely different players.
It's also about value. Barmore is one more slip up from being off this team, I would actually be surprised if he's here in 2027, and wouldn't rule out a trade prior to 2026 kickoff.
Gyllenborg is not lacking in physicality.
Can he develop his blocking sure, but he's big and a good receiver and can mover around the formation.
We signed Hill to be our blocking TE, we need a seam stretcher.

Well, that's where we disagree.
I never said players couldn't be upgraded. I said that Proctor and Capehart weren't upgrades over what we have currently. I also don't believe that Proctor and Capehart offer "value".

Some of the knocks on Gyllenborg:

Lance Zierlein:

Sam Teets:

James Foster:

I don't know what you call it, but to me, that is lacking in physicality. It says that he's a WR in a TE body and doesn't know how to use that body.

I wonder if Vrabel would like it?.
Don't know that he'd like having 13 drafted rookies... Also not sure he'd like trading away that 2027 3rd round pick.. Or the fact that I only added 1 edge guy..

The only reason I added Konga was because the NFL Mock Draft Simulator didn't have Sobkowicz in it.. which was weird.. I think he'd like my PFSN draft better.. Especially adding the 2nd and 3rd rounders in 2027..

Just putting a mock together from Brugler's board. I'm assuming AJ Brown is a Patriot post June.

31. Akheem Mesidor

Natch! Hoping Malachi Lawrence or TJ Parker jump him allowing him to fall to us.

**Trade** 63 for 71 & 147 (Wash).

71. Travis Burke

** Trade** 95 & 131 for 78 (Ind)

78. Sam Roush or Oscar Delp

I still can't decide. Maybe Delp and Kacmarek would be the ideal.

125. Kaleb Proctor, Jimmy Rolder or Will Kacmarek

A luxury pick. I'd love any of these three.

147. VJ Payne

I'd prefer a safety earlier but RT and TE win out as needs.

171. Justin Jefferson

191. Jeremiah Wright

198. Trey Moore

Double dip at EDGE. Provides competition of Ponder and Swinson.

202. J Michael Sturdivant or Tim Keenan

If Boutte goes the other way in an AJ Brown trade, getting a WR would be a good idea. Tim Keenan is a very good NT to replace Tonga.

212. Haynes King

247. Adam Randall.

Here's my first mock of the year. I have spent a small fraction of the time studying this year, so let me know what you experts think.

I like #191. Any dude named Ephesians has to be able to play.
Let Steve cook...I like.

You took M Fields and my sleeper TE Joe Royer.
Royer is 24. 6th yr/Sr. with an injury history. He also chose NOT to do any testing. Which is a huge red flag for me.

He's mediocre all-around. Not good at blocking. Not good at route-running. Not sure why you think the guy is a sleeper to do anything but take up a roster space..

I don't want AJ Brown. I know I am in the minority on this. His wanting to play for the Patriots because of his fandom as a kid doesn't change that his current attitude. He is different that Diggs, who was coming off an injury. When I was against the Diggs signing, it wasn't known that he'd been humbled by the injury experience. That he was willing to come in and be a mentor to the young guys in the room. I think that Brown coming in would be a detriment to the WR room and what they've built to this point..

I know that Vrabel was against the Titans trading Brown because Vrabel had explicitly told Brown he wouldn't be traded while Vrabel was HC and maybe Vrabel feels obligated to make that right, but Brown isn't the same player, attitude wise, that he was with the Titans. If Vrabel could reign in Brown, then maybe it would work out, but that's a big IF..
We are riding in the same boat on this one. I think that Brown would help the offense in production but I think he would be a hindrance to the overall growth of the team.

Depends.
One could argue Diggs was a great influence on the WR room last year.
If AJ has his head on straight, he could provide the same, but with more on-field production.
This is where we gotta trust Vrabs, he knows the player and won't risk what he's building here.
I am fine with whatever we decide on AJ, so long as it's not more than a 2027 2nd rounder.

Tried a different site, got some different results. Fields continues to be available in the 3rd no matter where I run the mock. I hated waiting on edge until round 3, but Styles and Bisontis fill needs as well. Reading about that 7th rounder, it sounded like he had a shot to make it as a STer.

I'm pretty sure most mocks these days have Sonny Styles going closer to 1.03 than 1.31. . . .

I don't get the love fest of Fields.. He's nothing special and not on my board at all. So many other WRs without the red flags.

No way I prioritize WR over CB.. Need is ALWAYS a part of the equation when making picks. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves..

Not sure what site that is, but how is it realistic when Styles is talked about in the top 10 and Bisontis in the top 20??

I've used that site (NFLDRAFTBUZZ...I think).
I don't remember it being that inaccurate, but as soon as as I saw Styles at 31 I stopped reading.

NFL Draft Buzz is great for summer scouting because they have more scouting reports than anywhere else I found. They're all a bit too positive, but it helps to get a feel for the class. I don't use them beyond that though.
