2026 Watch List

Bleacher Report's latest big board is out.

The one thing I was interested in was Brandon Thorn's take on Travis Burke and he's at 105 which feels about right. That would require a 3rd round pick though.

Dane Brugler's 'The Beast' is due out tomorrow.

Fo I wish the draft would follow that board!

*** Pats trade 31 to Atl for 48 and 79.
48. Monroe Freeling, OT(48)
63. Treydan Stukes, S (73)
79. Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE (81)
95. Oscar Delp, TE (96)
125. Keionte Scott, Nickel
131. Bryce Lance, WR (152). Doubling up on EDGE with Keyron Crawford)162) also tempting.
171. Adam Randall, RB (176)
*** Trade: Pats trade 191 and a 2027 6th round pick to Seattle for 188
188. Kyle Louis, LB/S (188)
198. Eli Heidenreich, slit WR
202. Micah Morris, IOL (220)
212. Jordan Van den Berg, DL (238)
246. CJ Demmings, CB (251)

That would be an incredible back end of the defense: Kyle Louis at LB, Treydan Stukes at S, Keionte Scott at nickel and CJ demmings for depth at outside CB.

What's deal on Freeling? I see Drafttek shows him going at 6, Jeremiah at 17. And, here, you show a source that has him available at 48.

Everyone has their board.

Freeling is supremely athletic, versatile, great size and length. He is still developing technically, which is to ve expected. His tape improved significantly over the course of the season.

It's not much different from Armand Membou last year, who ended up going #7 overall. Some teams/draft boards will have him top 10, others 2nd round, based on potential vs. experience.

Freeling could probably go anywhere from 6-23, with Cleveland, KC, the Rams, Detroit and Philly as options.

If he fell below 23, I'd personally try to trade up for him.

There's some projection based upon the latter half of his season. He improved signficantly as the season wore on so you can grade him on what e became or on his whole season output. I think he deserves the credit of his latter half. He's a strong pass blocker but there is still work to do on his run blocking.

Updated Eric Edholm top 100:

31. Blake Miller
32. Max Iheanachor
35. Caleb Lomu

39. Caleb Banks
41. Zion Young
43. Gabe Jacas
44. Jacob Rodriguez
47. Malachi Lawrence
50. Jake Golday
52. Chris Bell

66. Ted Hurst
72. Treydan Stukes
74. Keyron Crawford
78. Dani Dennis-Sutton
81. Keylan Rutledge

96. Skyler Bell
97. Mike Washington

No Sam Roush, or Travis Burke.

Interesting that Ty Simpson is on the list.

One Houston draftnik's "my guys" list:

Lot of good prospects, but LB Jake Golday and S Zakee Wheatley are the only 2 guys on my personal list:

Zakee Wheatley, S - Penn State
Two high safeties with strong tackling prowess are extremely rare to find. Wheatley is athletic and has an elite frame. When everything is in front of him, he can trigger downfield and snatch souls with a physicality necessary to win at the next level.

Jake Golday, LB - Cincinatti
The most versatile player in the class. Golday has the length, range, and tackling form to stay at inside linebacker while allowing the defense to evolve and rotate with Jalen Pitre in the slot. Could be a boom or bust, but would rather have Golday in Houston than on another roster.

Mike Vrabel has talked openly about the importance of versatility.

You have.

But you have not exactly been alone.

I am clearly in love with some players, and will be disappointed when they inevitably go elsewhere. But there are so many good prospects in this draft.

We will not fill every need. But I think we should find some good talent to add to the team.
